NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - A teenager is dead after a home invasion turned shooting on Capitol Point overnight Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Ja'Donte Thompson, 17. According to witnesses, a family of four, including a grandfather, step-dad, mom and 17-year-old,were inside the home and asleep when two men in their 30s broke in yelling "where is it at." Police believe the suspects mistook the home for a drug house. Detectives found no evidence of drugs, money or weapons inside.
The suspects kicked in the back door and went upstairs. One suspect had his face covered and the other did not. One of the suspects, armed with a handgun, fired several shots, hitting a 17-year-old male in the chest after he struggled with the gunmen trying to protect his family. The gunman also pistol whipped the step-dad. The suspects remain on the run, however, surveillance video from across the street may give police some clues. Police say the gunmen didn't steal anything. Police said the suspect are described as being in their late 20s to 30s. Police said one gunmen was described as wearing a wore a red beanie, red jacket and appeared to be intoxicated while the other suspect wore all black. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died. Thompson was a student at Hillsboro High. Grief counselors will be on hand Wednesday to help students cope with the tragic loss.

Nashville has gone looie worshiping the very artifacts of its success. Country music isn’t even about the country anymore. It’s about the antics of the artists long removed from the country and living out caricatures.
Real rednecks would put them to shame any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Too many liberals have taken over Nashville. I was told a lot of Californians moved here.
Look for suspects in their late 20s and 30s. That should narrow it down a lot. No point in searching the Nursing Home.
I also looked up Capitol Point on Google Maps. It is located within the J. Henry Hale Apartments, a public housing project. So probably not a good part of town.
