The Good Samaritan story is about someone helping an enemy. Was the 77-year-old woman an enemy of the neighborhood?

No, the story of the Good Samaritan is about someone in need who was ignored by all the 'proper, upright' people but was helped by a member of a group which was despised by Jesus' listeners.

In a modern USA context, the story could be retold to a cocktail party of MSM anchors as being about a white man with a mullet haircut, rural Southern accent, denim jacket with cut-off sleeves and driving a beat-up pickup truck with a big Confederate Battle Flag who spends his free time delivering Meals On Wheels to needy, elderly black folks. Who live along the route to the upscale restaurants favored by the attendees of that cocktail party.

In essence, "Identity Politics do not matter. Actions do."

I disagree as do others found by searching Good Samaritan enemy but you're saying the 77-year-old woman was ignored by all the 'proper, upright' people of the neighborhood who saw her plight but just passed by? And the ones who helped her were despised?

I think I still have a point with your interpretation of the parable.
