When this is over and Trump finally has an AG with energy (he will have many willing and capable candidates to choose from after this), the FBI must be cremated and a new domestic investigative agency built from the ground up. The FBI is the tool used in the act of committing treason against the United States - an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States from within. They must be completely eliminated and all employees removed from service or jailed as conspirators- no exceptions.
I presume that the reason that Wray is trying to keep this under wraps is that litigators in the DOJ are warning him of the potential civil liabilities against the department and many individuals for the wholesale violation of civil rights, contempt of court, etc. All of that could keep the FBI and DOJ and past and present employees very busy for very many years.
A good interrogator never asks a question that he doesn’t already know the answer to.

If Wray had showed up at the FBI and started whacking people, he’d be labeled a hired gun for the President, in a paranoid and corrupt state, to take out his enemies. Wray is going to let the IG do it’s thing and start exposing everything. Hell, he can’t even talk behind closed doors. The minute he tells the committee what’s really going on, the Dem’s won’t be able to call or text their allies, fast enough to start destroying everything they have.
I’m thinking that right about now, federal agents, DOJ employees, etc, are putting as much stuff on thumb drives as they can, as a get out of jail free card. And they’re making copies and sending them to trusted friends and family members, in the event something goes down.

Seems more like Comey identified him as someone that would do anything for her. Even if that meant breaking the law.
Strzok thought that they really wanted him around and even if he took some liberties with the law, swearing to a warrant in FISA court based on absolute BS, committing perjury before FISA with said warrant application, and all the other dirty stuff he did, that she would win and all of his indiscretions would be covered up and he’d be rewarded. Oooops!!!!
He didn’t realize that he’d be used for cannon fodder. Hopefully, he was smart enough to keep some stuff hidden that will implicate his former bosses. Literally or figuratively, he’s a dead man walking.

Wray also said something about FISA issues being discussed with the intelligence over-site committees at the end of the discussion when he was pressed on it. The committee chair interjected that the judiciary committee was the committee charged with over-watching the FISA courts, and that he better get copies of any documents going to the intelligence committee related to FISA, and that all his committee members had the authority to request information about any FISA request, such as who filed it, and what was the basis of the FISA request.
