Deposing gods has been done. Remember Caligula? The Japanese emperor god, being neither an idiot nor mad, deposed himself. Also, since you’re quoting Kipling, remember The Man Who Would Be King? Once they discover their god can bleed, he gets demoted pdq. His sister, a military coup, whatever. It can be done. It should be done. If he gets to launch armed ICBMs anywhere he wants, and he’s nuts, well, things can only get worse if nothing’s done. And launching them preemptively at Pyongyang is a lousy option if you live in Seoul or Tokyo or Guam, and if it pisses off China, who have their own arsenal.
I blame the whole damned mess on Harry Truman. He just handed Norklandia to the Soviets after WWII. Every president since then has maintained the status quo.
Now its put up or shut up time.
I agree that something HAS to be done before it gets worse.
Probably best for everyone if we let China take fat boy out and clean the place up with one of their preferred puppets with the stipulation that Norklandia is a nuke free zone with inspections at any time.
They get to keep their buffer state and the South doesn’t have to worry about millions of starving, disease ridden, uneducated refugees crashing their economy.
The Chinese could put sis in charge and make sure she knows she is on a very short leash.

If China would just plain annex Norklandia, I wouldn’t shed a tear. Puppet sister would work just fine, too. Anything’s better than a nuclear Mexican stand-off with this punk.
He can’t destroy the US, but he can cause serious damage, and he can destroy Guam, Japan and Seoul just out of spite, and he would.
