ARLEY, Ala. — I recently drove the back roads from Birmingham for over two hours before I finally found a sign for Roy Moore, the Republican candidate for the United States Senate, outside the Arley Coffee Shop. A retired coal miner who frequents what the cashier called the “liars’ table” put it to me in the familiar Winston County way. “The women,” he said of Mr. Moore’s accusers, were lying to make him look like a sexual predator. “Groping,” he added, “used to be all right anyway.”
The Free State of Winston is Alabama’s most distinctive political culture, and now it may be the center of America’s current political convulsion. Winstonians tend to go to one side or another in a big way, and they don’t care what the rest of the world thinks. According to one historical account, the residents voted 515 to 128 for an antebellum legislator who promised to oppose the Ordinance of Secession that took Alabama out of the Union in 1861. Today they believe President Trump is an untarnished Republican savior and are cheering his endorsement of Mr. Moore.

Yes, Howell Raines was/is one of the biggest turds in MSM history. He protected Jayson Blair until the scandal grew too large to resist. Howell Raines represents some of the worst of the liberal MSM.

14 years old makes a “pedophile?” Puh-lease. Frank Luntz’ panel included women who said they themselves dated 30 year olds at age 15, and that two grandmas were married at 14. The Mexican age of consent is TWELVE and you don’t see the NYTimes wailing about it.

I grew up in Winston County (in the Haleyville/Lynn/Double Springs area), and this writer is nothing more than yet another liberal hack trying to “explain” how backwards the Rednecks in Alabama are if they elect Roy Moore.
According to my relatives back home (I no longer live there due to military duties), Moore will win in a landslide.
No one, other than the folks paid for by out of state Democrats, believe the crap published by the WAPO, etc.
I think it was Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton who said something like “No more trial by newspaper!”. MAGA, Go Moore, Go Trump!!!

I’ve heard some things, along the lines of people in Alabama are really frustrated that the media in the New York/Washington axis, are trying to tell Alabamans how to vote.
I’ve also heard lots of resentment in Alabama against circus performer Gloria Allred strutting in and stirring the pot.
It’s as if a key issue in this campaign has become the issue of outside liberals condescendingly trying to affect the outcome of this election.
Doug Jones ads are running every other commercial break now. I got so tired of them the Tab has been on AHC for the last week.
Massive over saturation with lie filled content is pushing Jones farther and farther behind.
