Newt married his high school teacher. Maybe he could be quiet for a little while.

Well, the big differences here are that with Moore there's clear evidence of forgery and lying while with Franken there's a photograph.

Newt is usually, well sometimes anyway, smarter than this.

One of the republicans many defects is they simply don’t know when to just shut up

“He's never faced his accusers,” Gingrich said Sunday. “He's never had to process. He's never had an opportunity to clear his name. Suddenly… the social pressure from the left and the Democratic Party came together, made it inappropriate for him to stay.”

Uh, Ms. Burke? May I call you Cathy? Um, Cathy, I think the phrase Newt used was "due process," not "to process."

If you're going to write for such a prestigious publication such as Newsweak, you should rely less on Spell Checker and more on a real human proofreader.

There’s a photo of Al Franken and at least the women who made other accusations were photographed with him.

I’d be careful about telegraphing the idea these cases and individuals are all the same or guilty of the same thing.

More is not guilty of the things Franken did.

There’s a big difference between them.

Oh, Ms. Burke, do I owe you an apology. You were writing for Newsmax, not Newsweak.

That explains a lot.

Newt’s wrong in this particular case, but I can see where he’s going with this. Once you let the #MeToo hysteria get out of control, it’s going to be tough to stuff it back into the bag.

They’ve unleashed a monster they can’t control. He may have been the initial target, but they’re taking out some pretty big names on their own side in the process.

That was because Newt was, essentially, molested by his high school teacher. He was overweight, lonely because he was overly bright but from a dysfunctional family, and she took advantage of this. He was about half her age, literally - he was still a teenager and she was in her 30s.

I think he’s right on the political hysteria part, since this has taken on a life of its own and even pretty mild things are now considered rape. But on the other hand, Franken’s behavior - which was backed by power - was way beyond just suggestive or bumbling attempts at flirtation. And the accusers seem to be credible.

Hey Newt! How do Viet Nam Veterans get their reputations back and the lost time from liberals like John Hanoi Kerry?

I agree. Having said that, let’s consider this.

Moore has denied everything.

Conyers, Franken, and others have admitted to what they did.

I don’t see this so much as a lynching, because these guys readily admit they did it.

You could say Moore’s is a lynching, because that truly is just mob rule.

I don’t see a mass rush to judgement in most these cases. Only one has objected, and that mob rule attempt fell flat on it’s face.

It’s a repeat of all of the worst features of McCarthyism, and the liberals can’t see it. Their ignorance is matched only by their arrogance. It’s truly amazing.
