Twitter to monitor you 'on and off the platform' post Dec 18 (thought police?)
Tweak Town ^ | 12/12/2017

Posted on 12/12/2017 7:09:21 AM PST by Pollard

Twitter has been acting up over the last few months, with President Trump's account being disabled for 11 minutes last month, and even the international account of The New York Times experiencing troubles in the last 24 hours.

But there are big changes cooking with the social networking giant that are taking place on December 18, with Twitter announcing a couple of weeks ago that it will be monitoring its users' behavior... wait for it... "on and off the platform". Twitter will suspend an account if they are affiliated with violent organizations, even if they aren't causing any trouble on Twitter. George Orwell would be proud at Twitter's move, that's for sure.

Got an email this morning from gab.ai talking about a twitter exodus Dec 18th due to these new rules. Tracking it's users internet activity outside of twitter.

https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/twitter-rules

"""You also may not affiliate with organizations that — whether by their own statements or activity both on and off the platform — use or promote violence against civilians to further their causes. We will begin enforcing this rule around affiliation with such organizations on December 18, 2017."""

I predict some will be more equal than others.

Here's an article on Mashable titled; Twitter to neo-Nazis: you have until December 18

Doesn’t this rise to the level of illegal and warrantless searches?

This is sort of like gun control laws. Decent people will get kicked off for talking about Islamofascist groups, and the bad guys will communicate by hiding under code names, and outright false ID s

Twitter is a private business and free to not serve anyone they choose not to serve
Unlike wedding bakers florists and photographers

Bear in mind that the Star Spangled Banner is considered rasist hate speech by thought police ..

No. Twitter is a business and they can remove/block anyone they see fit. It has to do with their perception of the user, not law enforcement of any kind.

Couple this announcement with this guy from Facebook and you might understand better. https://youtu.be/d6e1riShmak

Don’t be rude.
I understand the Constitution.

I don’t understand their ability to access and monitor in order to collect data regarding activity that does not occur on their platform.

Do you?

Tracking its users internet activity outside of twitter.

Web trackers like this are pretty easy to block; but most internet users don't bother and just leave themselves wide open.

Twitter update to its policy: "You also may not affiliate with organizations that - whether by their own statements or activity both on and off the platform - use or promote violence against civilians to further their causes".

But, I guess violence is OK if it's directed toward military people or the police.

Switching topics to youtube.

All the trash posts with click bait headlines that show ordinary videos of news briefs, interviews or hearings that don’t even remotely match the headline. Starting to make me cross.

I mainly see conservative ones, simply because that’s where my interests are. Like the current versions of Tucker Carlson, Fox Five, Laura Ingraham’s the Angle.

I’ve been tempted to a few of those videos much to my dissapointment. The only thing I can think is, My God people, we don’t need stuff like this, we have the Democrats dead to rights on the Russia story among others.

I suppose @ChurchMilitant and @III% will be unplugged. This must be how they closed down the President’s accounts permanently. Being afraid of the truth makes leftists do stupid stuff over and over.

Tell me about it. I was trying to find Hannity show for Mon. 11th. Just about all of them were dated wrong. They were shows from last week. There’s been a couple of jokers doing it recently. I even found a couple dated the 12th and this was yesterday, the 11th. Time travelers or just Fellow Travelers?

Whenever I try to search google for something political, all the results are one sided. Either that or what I’m looking for just doesn’t show even though I know it exists. I use duckduckgo but like all alternative search engines, they rely on google for their results because google has the market cornered so to speak.

facebook, I just go there and read the family’s posts. Occasionally I post something political but I wonder if anyone sees it.

facebook and twitter is where 60% of people get their news

Twitter can do whatever they want (for the most part). It’s a business. You don’t like it, don’t go on Twitter. The story says it will track its “users” on and off line. People aren’t really this silly, are they?
