Deputy AG Rosenstein knows whether or not the FBI paid for the Trump-Russia dossier.
He knows.
But, he’s refusing to say.
How crooked is THAT?
The Deputy AG was asked pointblank, and responded with “I am not in a position to answer that question.
Rosenstein, who was grilled by the House Judiciary Committee, suggested that he knew the answer to the question, which was posed by Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis.
“Did the FBI pay for the dossier?” DeSantis asked.
“I’m not in a position to answer that question,” Rosenstein responded.
“Do you know the answer to the question?” the Republican DeSantis followed up.
“I believe I know the answer, but the Intelligence Committee is the appropriate committee…” Rosenstein began.
DeSantis interjected to assert that the Judiciary panel has “every right to the information” about payments for the dossier.
Congress has long questioned the Justice Department and FBI over whether payments were made for the Trump dossier, which was written by former British spy Christopher Steele and funded by the Clinton campaign and DNC.
Then call his bluff, haul him before the Intelligence Committee, and ask him there.
Better get someone in there who answers questions posed to them or toss them in the clink.
It’s patently obvious what Rosebstein is. He’s playing “we’re all professionals” and he knows damn well they aren’t. He’s still playing at the dossier and all the rest being justified. My guess is FBI counter intelligence was totally compromised by foreign powers.
Democrats on the panel made sure to point out, a few times, that Rosenstein is a republican. We republicans know that there are never-Trumpsters in the republican party, and Rosenstain sounds and acts like one. RINOs are also republicans, and never-Trumpsters are never going to give up their chances are blocking Trump or actually removing him from office.
Q for anyone: How in bloody blue blazes do we KNOW that Christopher Steele is a FORMER spy?!

I understand Sessions recused himself in an effort to do the right thing. But I totally fault him for not realizing Rosenstein is a dirt ball.
He is more powerful than the Congress and needs to be fired.

Hillary was supposed to win. The Dossier would be forever said to come from ‘foreign intelligence sources’ with no US intelligence involved that might be forced to testify.

Until someone gets cuffed up, and taken to jail, this BS will never stop. A contempt charge is meaningless. Was Eric Holder hurt by it? Not even a little.
Because he’s an intermediary to provide intel and wiretapping thru his connections across the pond. If you can’t obtain a FISA warrant (which they didn’t several times), you have to create the evidence to get one (Don Jr. meeting & dossier). While doing that (takes time), a foreign entity can circumvent the US legal process by conducting surveillance and sharing this info thru partners such as Fusion. I believe this is why Robert Hannigan suddenly resigned from British GCHQ on 1/23/17 just a day or two after Trump was sworn in. I believe the part that hasn’t really come to light yet is how a foreign government assisted in this mess.
Once the Russian narrative is disproved, Sessions no longer has to be recused from this whole mess. This is why the left needs this narrative to continue.
