Black Hole Sun, Won't You Come?
And wash away the rain?

From a broader perspective, this is particularly serious not just because a “cooler” sun, with a correspondingly-cooler climate, will result in an upswing in famines and crop failures, but these downturns will hit at a time when global tensions are high, certain nations that have been prone to famine in the past are looking to expand territories, and national institutions are particularly shaky.

For those who subscribe to the Strauss & Howe “Fourth Turning”, this cooling strikes me as a potential amplifier.

No problem. We can just take an idea from the 1970’s Global Cooling alarmists — dust the poles with carbon black (soot) to increase solar energy absorption.

Well, maybe I’ll ask my kid about this. He hasn’t quit his job yet. He works at NASA in Flight Operations on a satellite that monitors solar activity.

I think his shift starts in a few minutes. I assume they are all running around screaming.

Or maybe they are just calmly going about their work as if nothing is wrong, perhaps because nothing is wrong.

Global warming, global cooling. What difference does it make? It is all Trump’s fault. (Maybe Bush’s too).

Just the other day I got crapped on by a pigeon and spent most of the day convinced that the sky was falling.

How many scientists does it take to replace that great lightbulb in the sky?

Answer: One. He/she sits on the collective height of pin/putz heads of idiots like Schumer, Pelosi, Franken etc and lets the Earth rotate and replace a new bulb.

We’ve already heard from the warmist crowd that cold weather and massive snowfall is the result of global warming, so they’ve got their bases covered.

5 degrees colder also means less food to eat at higher prices and still more money to keep warm because of the huge demand, but you will have fun snowshoeing ... until the cloned smilodon picks up your scent ... how fast can you run in snowshoes anyway?

5 degrees warmer means more abundant vegetation, more food at less cost, much lower power bills (somewhat offset by increase AC usage), no cloned smilodon to worry about while you get in your snowshoeing.

I know no one has clones a smilodon yet, but they will have to right after they clone woolly mammoths.

I think you can look to the Dark Ages as an example of what happens when there is ‘cooling’. Plants, animals and people tend to thrive in warmer climates rather than colder.

Here’s a pretty good article:

I personally would prefer ‘colder’ on average (more snowshoeing for me), but in a macro sense, which would be more detrimental to the most people/economy/food supply etc?

Living in the Houston, TX area (where it is 80° F today) I would prefer "colder" as well. However, the warmer temps would almost have to be better for the planet.
