Nikki Haley Wins Tweet of the Year
RushLimbaugh.com ^ | 12/20/2017 | Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: Nikki Haley, our U.N. ambassador, had the tweet of the year. Nikki Haley tweeted the following: “At the U.N. we’re always asked to do more & give more,” meaning America. The U.N., we, the United States. We’re always asked to do more and give more. “So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR embassy, we don’t expect those we’ve helped to target us. On Thurs there’ll be a vote criticizing our choice. The U.S. will be taking names.”

That is her tweet about the vote today at the U.N. disapproving of our decision to relocate our embassy to Jerusalem. That’s why I like this, because it’s right out of the school of thought of my own foreign policy. I had this idea on foreign aid way, way back in the nineties. I get so fed up. We give money away to people who don’t appreciate it, who don’t thank us and, furthermore, dare to criticize us all over the place.

So my idea was to have an excrement list. You know, we give nations foreign aid and we monitor ’em. And if they rip us, if they criticize us, if they try to undermine us, if they don’t show us gratitude, they get on the excrement list, and they stay on that list for years. At least three years. They gotta have three years of perfect appreciable, honorable behavior towards us to get back on the foreign aid list.

Why should we continually underwrite a bunch of people that are not gonna appreciate us, that are not gonna express gratitude and are gonna try to undermine us at the U.N.? And Nikki Haley is saying here everybody’s asking us for money all the time anyway at this place, so we make a decision, the will of the American people, about where to locate our embassy — it’s not yours; it’s ours. We don’t expect those who we have helped to target us. On Thursday there will be a vote criticizing our choice. The U.S. will be taking names.

She’s got an excrement list, and those nations that target us over this are gonna go on that list. Folks, I don’t care whether the list is actually in existence or not, it’s not the point. This is overwhelmingly great. This is tremendous. This is kind of representation the U.S. has not had at the United Nations or anywhere else in a generation or more. It’s all coming up roses here, as far as I’m concerned. We’re on a roll here, certainly with a lot of potential. I’m jazzed. I just have to tell you.

I’m a regular listener but for someone who decries social media, particularly Twitter, nearly every show Rush does seem to talk an awful lot about it.

...

I suspect that politicians and their donors have ways to steal foreign aid without getting caught.

I’ve had mixed feelings about Nikki Haley, particularly her weakness on the rule of law when it comes to immigration. Still, this was an awesome statement. She sounds more like an alpha male than 90% of our RINOs in the House or the Senate. I could learn to like her if she took a strong position on protecting our borders and followed through on that position from her post in the UN.

"I’ve had mixed feelings about Nikki Haley..."

Me too, on domestic issues. But at the UN she is an absolute bulldog.
If only Jeff Sessions had her testicular fortitude. (Sigh....)

Reminds me of Don Corleone’s response to the undertaker who came to him asking for a favor in The Godfather........

She must have borrowed Jeff Sessions cojones, because he sure doesn't have them.

Nikki Haley has already been a successful Governor - the main pool from which Presidential candidates are chosen.

Most Governors naturally lack strong foreign policy experience, so giving her the UN Ambassador position is a great way to groom her for a potential future VP or Presidential candidacy.

You can dislike something, and even discourage the use of something, and still acknowledge it's current influence. It is part of being in Realville.

Trump chose wisely.

The funny thing is that she was critical of Trump during the primaries, and her Lt. Gov was VERY early on the Trump train, and Trump said the Lt. Gov. was better than Halley. I had assumed that giving her the position was a way to elevate the Lt. Gov., and that certainly figured into it. She has risen to the occasion and is very well-suited for her position. Win-Win-Win.

How about the US introduce a new UN resolution to relocate the UN headquarters every 5 years? See, “it’s not faaaaair that the US gets it all the time...”
Ha!

It’s just that time of year:

“He’s making a list, checking it twice,
Gonna find out who’s naughty or nice.

Donald Trump is coming....to town!”
