Take note, new Papa John’s CEO: I will never again order a Papa John’s pizza.
I wonder who is going to have the last laugh when all is said and done. This deck has too many jokers to be certain. If these guys don’t get their act together the NFL or Papa John’s is going down - maybe both.
Apple got rid of Steve Jobs and that worked out well didn’t it. Now Papa John’s is rid of it’s founder. What could be better? New leadership? There ain’t no stinkin’ leadership anymore, just management willing to bend to the political correctness of the leftist hordes invading every sector of our society.
Maybe the new CEO will have the vision to put the best interests of the company stockholders above themselves and the NFL owners. Maybe we can regress back to the old days when we paid NFL players to entertain us by playing the game of football and football fans who could chose their favorite pizza without fear of offending the minority races.
P.S. If I were Howdy (our favorite mascot here in Dallas since Crazy Ray - not to be confused with the other Howdy who pretends to coach), I’d be looking over my shoulder. Jerry Jones could replace you with a dancing Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza at any time. That would be another first for the Cowboys and would make about as much sense as anything else he has done lately. In fact when I see Howdy cheering along the sidelines I lose my appetite. Maybe a pizza for a mascot would remedy that and Howdy could retire. Who knows maybe Papa John’s could get in on the act and introduce a new ‘Cowboy Deluxe Mountain Oyster Pizza’ on their menu here in Dallas. /s

If there is a silver lining to living in NJ, it is that because I live only a dozen miles west of NYC we have A LOT of family pizzerias. These chains have opened around here, but I suspect only young people or immigrants would patronize them; the stuff is garbage compared to “NY style” pizza from a family-owned place. I live near the “Pizzaland” featured in the Sopranos opening, and even though it is now run by Christian Egyptians they still make great pizza - and they are within a couple of blocks of two competitors (a Papa Johns and another family-owned one).
We have Dominoes and Pizza Hut as well, but once you’ve had the real deal you just can’t regress to that crap...
