Bank of America Paying $1000 Tax Cut Bonuses to 145,000 American Workers
Breitbart ^ | 12/22/2017 | JOHN CARNEY

Bank of America has joined the parade of American companies celebrating tax cuts by giving its employees a special year-end bonus. Brian Moynihan, the bank’s chief executive, sent an email to employees citing the benefits to the company from the lower corporate tax rate.

“In the spirit of shared success, we intend to pass some of those benefits along immediately. U.S. employees making up to $150,000 per year in total compensation–around 145,000 teammates–will receive a one-time bonus of $1,000 by year-end,” Moynihan wrote.

The bank also said that it expected to invest more in technology and in cities around the country where it operates but currently lacks “an extensive financial center network.”

Just counting the corporations that have announced so far, that’s nearly half a billion dollars in the pockets of their workers and into the local economies.

So nearly $500 million reasons to thank Trump...

And yet, the Democrats are still out there claiming this is destructive to the middle class. Talk about a bunch of idiots.

Yes, and all those employees who agree should refuse the $1,000 or just hand it over to the US Treasury.

I have no doubt WH has worked with some of these corps to get these bonuses paid. GREAT WORK! That’s what they should be doing.

I just heard this morning that the new tax bill contains a provision that assesses a 15.5% tax on offshore corporate profits which are repatriated to the US during 2018.

The infusion of dollars rushing back into the country next year is going to be stupendous. Now THAT'S how you stimulate an economy!

It just boggles the mind that Democrats are crying about this. Ridiculous.

“What about the employees who make less than six digits in a year?”

It’s all employees under $150,000. Over $150000 gets nothing.

Between the major businesses doing this, and smaller ones we’re not hearing about, that’s around one million taxpayers getting the $1000 bonuses. In turn, consider their dependents - bringing us to 1% of US citizens benefitting directly from this tax plan in the first few days.

Yes. And what happens when 1 company starts to raise wages? Other companies need to raise their wages or loose workers to those companies who have already raised their wages.

This is the same bank which now is saying they will NOT accept ANY CASH deposits anymore.

I wonder how gas stations—fast food outlets—grocery stores are going to be able to deal with this dictate?

I have greenbacks which say they are legal tender for all debts-public & private.

Who the H____ is the Bank of America to tell me or anyone that they cannot deposit cash?

Are they no longer going to dispense CASH at their ATM’S?????
