1. “DOJ will investigate ties between Clinton Foundation and sale of Uranium One, Sessions says”

2. ““Sessions orders DOJ review after report Obama administration gave Hezbollah a pass”

Anyone who is too stupid to inform themselves about what Sessions has done in just the past few days would be instantly banned if it were up to me. It takes months, years even to build the airtight kind of case that will put these criminals and enemies of the state behind bars where they belong, and Jeff Sessions has the reputation as a prosecutor of operating so stealthily his targets never suspected anything until they were busted. That’s what a great AG should be doing, not posting daily updates on Facebook for FReepers who have no patience and expect instant results.

He walked into one hell of a mess at DOJ, now a day doesn’t pass without significant news and progress. The storm is happening.

Well said. The genius of Trump was leading the Swamp to believe that the self-recused Sessions was weak and aloof, and drawing attention to Team Mueller’s flashy pursuit of evidence of crimes that Trump never committed. All the while, Sessions had his IG and who-knows-who-else quietly investigating the conspirators while they were still in the petri dishes of their government offices. It is a great advantage to be underestimated.

Do you realize that your arguments directly contradict your conclusion? The fact that Sessions announces he WILL investigate Uranium One shows that he has done nothing so far and that he doesn’t operate stealthily on it. The fact that he orders a “review” on Hezbolah-Obama link just now shows he planned nothing and only acts when events push him to do so. And there is no definitive proof James Baker was “captured” by the DOJ, it’s just an innuendo. Baker may just as well be outed by the Congress, by the FBI or by the dog next door.

As a Senator, Sessions was informed of the bribery scandal surrounding Uranium One ***BEFORE THE SALE***. I can't put my finger on what he knew, but Sessions has no stomach for investigating Uranium One.

I agree with you but still can’t shake some skepticism.

Now a question: Did Baker allegedly leak the dossier to expose FBI corruption, or did he allegedly leak the dossier as part of an FBI “7th floor” operation to interfere with our free and fair election?

I would love to eat crow regarding my past views about Sessions. In fact, I am going to go get myself a crow now to keep in the freezer in sweet anticipation.

You are right of course. But I guess many here are waiting for Hillary and her flying monkeys “to be hanging from nooses” with great anticipation.

Thank you for saying this. I am from Alabama and it upsets me to hear the comments about Sessions. He has always been a man of integrity. When he was our state AG he did so many good and honorable things that have been forgotten. He is not a grand stander, he just quietly does the job.

It’s obvious you have never worked in a federal agency or closely with the Secretary of a department. I have, several in fact.

All the Assistant Secretaries and many Deputy Assistant Secretaries are political appointees and serve at the pleasure. They may be replaced at any time. The Secretary, while somewhat limited in dealing with the civil service can make or break the Assistant Secretaries as he/she pleases with the only exception if the AS was a White House placement. Then special handling is required. I have been there and have seen it many times.

If something is not being revealed or released it is because the Secretary wants it that way.

Sessions is a potted plant, useless in point of fact.

Trump’s entire presidential personnel management has been a disaster. Perhaps we should restrict comments on these matters to those who have actually served in political appointment positions under several Republican administrations. That will keep the blowhards here who have never gone through white house clearance from speculating on political matters they know nothing about.

“...to stupid to inform themselves about what Sessions has done...”

They should be zotted. The constant mocking of Sessions is relentless, not true and makes FR look ridiculous.

What is the timeline on the statute of limitations?

My guess is the statute will run out and Hillary will pass quietly in her bed at home.

Yep - lots of tangled webs and swamp to navigate in order to do it right - Sessions is probably working very hard to ensure it all gets done right - but the instant-gratification folks have trouble remembering what it’s like to get that “instant gratification” which usually ends up leaving one wondering why he couldn’t wait to do it right......ask any teenage boy who got overexcited when his girlfriend finally said yes.....

You are truly delusional. Sessions isnt ordering anything beyond what he promised in his last committee meeting in the senate. Nothing will come of it. He could have initiated real investigations over 9 months ago. He didnt. Now why is that?

I know it is hopeful to want to bring the obama clinton scandals to justice but I see no desire on sessions part to do so. His recent public pronouncements are much less than what they appear. He only ordered a new look, not an investigation. Not empaneling any grand jury. He is speaking BUreaiucrateze to do nothing, just like he has done so far.
