RFK unfortunately is there, too.

Only removal case of which I’m aware, from December 1997 when, of course, DIRT-X-POTUS42 was in DC:

“Confronted with mounting evidence that M. Larry Lawrence, the late Ambassador to Switzerland, had fabricated a heroic World War II record, his widow decided today to have his remains exhumed from Arlington National Cemetery, where he was granted burial under an unusual waiver.”

They have network of secondary providers that increases the possibility they will have what you want.

I checked wiki. Robert is in Arlington so all 4 Kennedy brothers are there due to their military service.

Was the oldest brother buried there originally? Of did they have him moved there after his bro made preezy? John is the only one who has a reason to be there.

There probably have been removals. My mother in law was buried in Arlington in October 2016, as the spouse of a veteran. Her husband is still living. He had to sign an agreement that he would be buried with her. If not, she would have to be removed and buried elsewhere, at our expense, of course.

This is a different situation, but there were a couple of other stipulations in the agreement that could cause removal. For instance, if the body was cremated, you had to swear that 100% of the cremains would be buried. No keeping a memento of the person in a little vial. If they discovered that less than 100% was buried, you would have to remove and inter elsewhere.

I don't know if it's the same for all national cemeteries, but that is the situation in Arlington.

While I acknowledge the Loss in Alabama (which, btw, can't truthfully be laid at Trump's feet...Moore wasn't his choice and the #NeverTrumpers clipped Moore and, well, Moore was a poor candidate) and that we haven't a Wall and other things left on the table, there are scores of WINS.

In addition, he is running circles around the media. If that's not fun enough to watch, there are legions of Deplorables who chase down these loses online and in person. CNN is a joke, Tom Brokaw and Dan Rather are caricatures of themselves, Mee-again Kelly is about to open for a puppet show...it's beautiful.

At the time of the Revolution, about 20% of the citizenry was Loyalists. That's about the percentage of snowflakes, Antifa and other losers combined that we have today. We will always have chronic whiners and they'll always get a win or two. Even if the movie is a bust, WINNING is on the ascent.

Does the trailer imply that he was crying about what he just did, or a realization that he just torpedoed his political future?

There are two scenes in the trailer which imply that he regretted what he did. The first scene clearly implies regret, but the second one, the crying scene, did not have context to answer your question.

However, he didn't really torpedo his political future, only his presidential ambitions. He never really paid any price for taking Mary Jo's life. He could have saved her simply by going to one of the nearby homes for help, but he didn't even bother. In my mind, that makes what he did 2nd degree murder.

The trailer includes one brief scene that shows him under water trying to get her out of the car. That didn't happen. We have only Ted Kennedy's word for it, and there is no way anyone could believe it considering everything else he did that night.

I dunno- one senator who was president for the last 8 years

Obama did nothing when he was a senator. He was absent a lot and spent much of the time running for president. Kennedy infected the senate and severely altered the trajectory of our country since before JFK was assassinated. Ted was handed a senate seat in a special election on November 6, 1962, and he used it to radically change our immigration laws among other things. He was a truly, deeply despicable, murdering son of a bitch who largely ran the country from the senate for nearly 50 years.

no underwear on Mary Jo

I was 22 years old when Chappaquiddick happened. I never bought any of the Kennedy BS. I have read at least two books about it. But I don't recall this that you assert.

Could you provide some backup.

Interesting. I do think wives alongside deserve to be there, but what was RFK, to say nothing of Teddy, doing there, other than nepotism?

I think both Teddy and Bobby served a couple of years in the military. Pretty sure Bobby was in the Navy. Maybe papa Joe made sure all his boys were vets... that would add to the family creds.

I spent several summers on Martha's Vineyard in the 1960s as a child. Still have a couple of friends there (yes, they are quite liberal, but we avoid all political talk). When the incident happened, I knew it was lie. I've been on that road and across that bridge.

For most people my age, there was little mythology left. Having grown up in MA with college friends who lived and worked on Cape Cod the Kennedy stories were pretty well known.

They were a-holes to the locals. The closer you got to them geographically, the worse to stories were.

I don’t need a movie to dish dirt.

Surely ... Howie Carr this week, about the movie:

Carr: ‘Chappaquiddick’ reveals Ted Kennedy’s ‘Untold story’

Here's an excerpt with that little factoid:

"Here are some facts most people don’t know about Chappaquiddick:

When he filled out the initial Edgartown police report, Teddy began, “There was one passenger with me, one Mary Jo — ”

After that he left a blank space, because he didn’t know her last name.

At the time of her drowning death, Mary Jo was not wearing underwear."

I didn't quite believe it either, so I just did a quick online search and found these from their respective biographies on history.com:

Ted: "During his freshman year, he was expelled after a classmate took a Spanish exam in his place. Kennedy then enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1951 to 1953 ..."

Bobby: "During World War II (1939-1945), Kennedy served in the U.S. Navy. In 1946 he was an apprentice seaman on the shakedown cruise of a naval destroyer named for his eldest brother, Joseph Kennedy Jr. ..."

When Teddy was expelled from Harvard for cheating he was so afraid of his father Joe that he signed up for a 6 year hitch in the Army. When they old man found out he used his influence to get it changed to a 2 year term and was assigned to the US Embassy in London. He does not deserve to be in Arlington.
