The Seahawks had serious talks with Kaepernick in spite of the kneeling controversy. Pete Carroll didn’t care at all about the kneeling. The Seahawks really, truly wanted him, but they would only offer backup QB money, albeit it would have been the top salary for a backup In the league. Kaepernick, who previously had a huge starter salary, wanted starter money.
It was Colin Kaepernick who turned the Seahawks down.

Are you and I the same person? I wrote what you did on so many different forums, excepting the thing about TO who was old in 2012 as you said. I too no longer support the Seahawks, or any team in the NFL. They removed the veneer of “The Game”, I speak of Seattle and the entire NFL. It is impossible to be the same ba^^s to the walls supporter that I once was for 40 years of the Hawks existence, and really was since the 1950’s.

Yep, it really does come down to that. Unfortunately the politics of most NFL fans don’t regard those who support cop killers very highly. You players had 3 choices: You could continue to at least appear non-political, and we would have been fine with that. You could have overtly supported cops, the military, and the United States, and we would have been thrilled with that. Or you could have been anti-American.
You guys chose the last option, and we simply don’t support that.
