Mosquitos lay eggs in water and they are frozen until spring arrives. They hatch in the warmer weather.
I don’t know, but from my summertime visits, I can tell you two things:
Minnesota mosquitos are so big they all have “N” numbers and need a clearance to land, and they can have sex with a jack rabbit standing flat-footed on the ground!
