But the headline did.

The AGW alarmists love and rely on the annual “average” temps.
It only takes a few big jumps, or a few big dips, in order for the average to beat the median with an out-sized affect.
We’ll have to wait and see what the annual average temp is for 2017, after 2017 is over.
And that is a good thing!
They really need to get a grip on reality!

These are people who attempted not only to shut down all argument against their stupid “global warming” money grab by chanting “settled science! settled science!” but trying to make it illegal for anyone to actually disagree with them. They were ONE teeny step (which just happened to look like Hillary Clinton) from winning it all, and turning our country into some kind of PC, non-gender, thought-police fascist communist hell-hole... and it all got pulled out from under them, in spite of EVERYTHING they tried, on election day 2016.

There should be quote-marks around the word ‘science’. I am a scientist and am disgusted by the climate people, who are mostly politicians or people chasing the government gold.
That number is largely meaningless, especially after they get done "adjusting" the data.

The Climate Hoaxers are already on record saying that British youth would never again be seeing snow over a DECADE ago.

You DO see climate change every day. One temperature overnight, another midmorning, even higher by midafternoon.
If those warming trends continued without change, by the end of the week you’d be boiling.
They also warned of a population explosion and that people should be killed off (abortion, birf control, sterilization, disease, starvation).

According to “rational” Progressives, I worship the Imaginary Sky Fairy.
I just checked the 10-day forecast for big cities in the Northeast and we are going to remain well below normal temps that entire time. In fact, it is going to get even colder than it is right now.
So while the liberals caterwaul about Trump's tweet, most of the country are going to be shivering in the deep freeze for the foreseeable future. They are going to be agreeing with Trump and wondering why exactly we were proposing to spend over a trillion dollars on a problem that simply does not exist!
The tweet would not have had the same effect if Boston, NYC and DC were looking at 60 degrees this weekend. Or even next week. In fact, Boston and NYC might not even hit the freezing mark for much of January.
Those "global warming" alarmists are going to have to be doing a lot of explaining in the weeks ahead as the cold strengthens it's grip.
So...whatever happened to that "global warming" we were promised?
And it seems whenever we got hit with a bitterly cold winter in N.Y. that same year we would endure a scorching hot summer. I remember my grandmother telling us in 1947 when NYC got hit with the worst blizzard of the 20th century they had an extremely hot summer. Other than a few mansions in Riverdale and the new postwar luxury high rises going up on Park Avenue even most of the well to do didn’t have air conditioning yet. People in the older apartment buildings were sleeping on the roofs and fire escapes. The winter of 1977 was another bad one. Snow was on the ground as far south as Tampa and it never got above freezing in NYC for 40 days. Yet that same summer temps hit 100 in parts of the Catskills. From one extreme to another in a matter of months.
Weather Channel assured us this morning that although it is very cold across the U.S., the rest of the world is hotter than average but didn’t provide any facts to back it up.
Which is what it always (except one time in my viewing) says for the NE, warmer than normal. And for the record (esp. for Erie PA)
