Gargan can’t answer for his role in ‘Chappaquiddick’

It is almost as though Joey Gargan decided to slip away before anyone noticed. And the funny thing about it is that he succeeded.

So, Ted Kennedy cousin Joseph F. “Joey” Gargan, who was Kennedy’s close companion, won’t be around to answer any questions about “Chappaquiddick,” the upcoming film about the late Sen. Ted Kennedy and the death of Mary Jo Kopechne.

Joey, 87, who was at Kennedy’s side that fateful night, died at his Virginia home December 12 and hardly anybody made the connection to Kennedy and Chappaquiddick

My parents and grandparents had a book ‘Teddy Bare’ that came out right after the incident, and it was a brutal indictment of Teddy and Chappaquidick.

Gargan was an even bigger POS than Kennedy.

Absolute SCUM!

Many key Kennedy supporters faulted Gargan for not taking the fall for Kennedy, arguing that had he done so, Kennedy’s presidential prospects would have remained alive.

A depressing look in to the mindset of the sycophantic supporters who surround corrupt politicians.

Teddy Bare by "Zad Rust". Never found out who that was (an obvious pseudonym, for obvious reasons).

I have that book, too.

No one in American politics is a bigger POS than was Ted Kennedy.

Some may have equaled him, but none have surpassed him.

My grandparents also had that book.

They lived in MA and despised Ted Kennedy.

I didn’t read it.

Here are a few reviews:

#1
This has some incredible research and it sure puts the usual appologists in a bind to explain the many inconsistencies of Edward Kennedy’s public statements. His time at the pond where the car was unside down with Mary Jo in it and the time that a deputy sheriff says he saw Kennedy’s black sedan at the paved intersection. The sheriff walked toward the sedan which drove off as he approached it. The time was 12:45 PM. Kennedy claims he and Miss Kopechne left the cottage at 11:15 PM the canal is a short few minutes down the road from the cottage. there was a fire station with a visible red light a few hundred yards from the overturned car. Houses with lights on where he could have gone for help and used their phone to get help in a short time to perhaps save a person’s life. None of these according to Zad Rust did Kennedy do.

The author does a superb job of laying out the know facts in Teddy Bare.

Rose Kennedy they claim bought up all of Teddy Bare books and had them thrown into the ocean. Book drowning instead of book burning.

This is an older book but still tells the bare truth about Ted Kennedy. No moral Compass here. This is a well researched book and does a great job of reconstructing the events at Chappaquiddick that fateful night. Those who are too young to remember this event would do well to find and read this book or one of the many other good ones on the topic to get a more balanced idea of who Ted was.

A classic, politically-provocative conservative expose that still rattles liberals who think the death by misadventure of Mary Jo Kopechne at the hands of Teddy Kennedy was a small price to pay to protect his nascent political ambitions. Unfortunately (for him), it probably ended any hopes Kennedy had for reaching the White House. As a book, this was a popular read in the John Birch branch of conservatism circa 1971 although like many related books, it is usually described as a “screed” or “rant” by liberal apologists who hate its simple, no-nonsense approach to the investigative facts of the Chappaquiddick case. Zad Rust is the pen name, supposedly, of Michel Sturdza, a Romanian diplomat and ultra-conservative who served under fascists governments during the 30s and 40s and then fled to Denmark, Spain and the US after WWII. This, of course, plays well into the hands of liberal apologists who like to point this out to undermine the book’s credibility. But that point is inconsequential to the content of this excellent book. Regardless of who the real “author” is, Teddy Bare is simply a collection of extremely well-written vignettes about the Chappaquiddick investigation and other particulars about Senator Kennedy’s life and political views up to that time (1969). For many Americans, Teddy Bare was their first real look at Ted Kennedy behind the “Camelot/Kennedy Family Public Relations Veil” and it wasn’t a pretty sight. Teddy was no JFK or RFK, that was for sure. Chappaquiddick became synonymous with everything that was (and still is) wrong with the American elitist political-entitlement mindset. This book is recommended.

Mary Jo isn’t available for comment either.

As I wrote elsewhere, Mary Jo can't be saved, but there is a WHOLE LOT of opportunity here to ensure this kind of horror isn't repeated.

For example, a favorite if not eccentric British TV, Radio presenter named Jimmy Saville was a sexual predator all his life, but it wasn't made public until after his death (though it's worth noting some people tried when he was alive, including former Sex Pistol John Lydon). With nobody around to defend him, Jimmy's name is now mud.

Who's gonna stand up for Ted? Elizabeth Warren? Bill Clinton? Al Frankenstein? Matt Lauer? BRING IT ON!!

The memes will write themselves. Trump tweets will be magnificent. This is the NEW field of play in the marketplace of ideas. People will be converted, sexual predators will look over their shoulders (and maybe get throttled like in the good old days), and maybe, just maybe, things can turn around. Oh boy is this GREAT!?

Deplorables would do well to develop a plan to ensure, in the midst of Democrat sexual predators being on the out, to use this new movie and the inevitable (re)introduction of Teddy to a new generation of Millenials and others in the light of truth. From there, maybe Deplorables can seize back the mantle of compassion and morality from these statist thugs posing as compassionate liberals.

This is a perfect example of liberal side step to take the mind off important issues. Teddy’s dead. Forget it. You can’t imprison him or kill him again.

Two American Brothers rented Savilles house in Lisbon I think it was, last name Podesta. The same week a child was abducted from the same neighborhood, and the witness sketch strongly resembles them. Just a random observation as to what kind of friends this child molester Saville had, and a question as to the kind of common interests they may have shared.

I read Alan Stang’s book back in the 1970’s as well.

Good read and good insight into 1960’s history that puts the Kennedy’s into perspective.
