Transparent DOJ and FBI Desperation: New York Times Attempts “Trump Operation” Justification
The Last Refuge - Conservative Treehouse ^ | 12/30/2017 | Sundance

Posted on 12/30/2017 8:20:51 PM PST by mojito

Immediately following confirmation by Senator Lindsey Graham about the origin of the 2016 FBI Counterintelligence Operation against candidate Donald Trump, The New York Times, via Clinton’s favorite voice Maggie Haberman, pushes out an article attempting to cloud, obfuscate and justify the joint FBI and DOJ surveillance operation against Trump.

The timing, content and presentation of the disinformation is transparent in the intended motive. More and more people are recognizing the FBI application to the FISA court was based on political information, the Steele Dossier, assembled by political operatives and used by political operatives within the DOJ National Security Division and FBI Counterintelligence Division.

As such, now the people at risk within the FBI and DOJ attempt to shift the focus away from the political document known as the “Steele Dossier” and toward the useful distraction of a short-term volunteer Trump campaign aide, George Papadopoulos.

This approach, originated by the current sense within the intelligence community, indicates all dossier scrutiny is directly over the target; and the leadership knows the risk. This is why the upper-tier management of the FBI and DOJ have refused prior questions about the Dossier’s use. The DOJ/FBI officials know the outline of how the dossier was assembled implicates them in a verifiable conspiracy.

As to the substance of the NYT justification it is absurd on its face.

The Slimes story follows not only Graham's comments from late yesterday, but Rep. Nunes’ letter to Rod Rosenstein demanding that the FBI/DOJ produce all of their internal FISA application-related documents by 1/3/2018.

The Stein nonsense is even more absurd, if possible, than the Trump collusion claims.

Stein attended a dinner at which Putin was present - GUILTY!

The liberal flag must be carried regardless of what is right or wrong. The big bosses at the N.Y. Times issue the marching orders. They libs must follow or the guard will be changed. They are there to push the liberal agenda down the throats of gullible readers. They need to keep the readers
and listeners interested in their boring circus. Many of the clowns and acts are not drawing the large crowds.

That’s a nice setup there. Very sturdy looking.

I think the Stein detour is just to make it look like this is a legitimate investigation focused on tracking down Russian influence wherever it may exist, rather than simply an attempt at a political hit on Trump, which of course is precisely what it is.

The ropes look awfully short. It doesn’t appear that the people would drop much. Instead of a quick snap of the neck, it looks more like a slow strangulation would ensue. Maybe a slow death would be more appropriate in some cases.

For more background on Papadopolous, see these stories by the excellent Chuck Ross at the Daily Caller:

http://dailycaller.com/2017/10/30/trump-campaign-adviser-indicted-for-lying-to-fbi-about-russia-contacts/

http://dailycaller.com/2017/10/30/how-did-george-papadopoulos-end-up-on-the-trump-campaign/

http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/01/george-papadopouloss-fascinating-link-to-the-trump-dossier/

And if anyone is so inclined, read the Papadopolous guilty plea:

https://www.scribd.com/document/363013133/Indictment-against-George-Papadopoulos#from_embed

I remember it seemed a big deal at the time, but so much as come out since then that in rereading it the charges now seem laughable and absurd. Papadopolous was charged with lying to the FBI about his contacts in London with two men who claimed to have contacts with Russian officials but were not Russian officials themselves, and a woman who it was claimed was Putin's niece, but was lying.

While it cannot be seen in the photo a “real” gallows sometimes had the extra footage required for a longer drop coiled on top of the beam. Hence the quick snap of the neck.

“The ropes look awfully short”

I’m not sure, but I think some length of the rope is laid over the top of the main beam.

The rope doesn't move much it's the body falling through the trap door that travels. They hanged quite a few men at Ft. Smith (86) so I imagine they knew how to do it right.

The gallows in the picture is a reconstruction of the 1886 gallows and it may not have the trap door as described since it wasn't built to be used.

Whoever puts this stuff together is either real stupid, or they think everyone else is.
