Iran has moved to restrict social media networks that have been used to organize three days of anti-establishment protests.

The restrictions on messaging app Telegram and photo sharing app Instagram are "temporary", state news agency Irib reported.

The decision was taken "to maintain tranquility and security of society", a source was quoted as saying.

The protests have been the biggest show of dissent since huge rallies in 2009........

The latest from those left-wing guys at the BBC about the stuff going on in Iran.

Contrary to what some are spreading around its looks like Progressive, Mainstream, Liberal-Left media like the BBC have put this story of Iran at the top.

I have seen Iran at the top of the BBC website for the last 48 hours.

If POTUS Trump is not marshalling every single resource right now to help topple this regime he’s either nuts or a moron.
Contact the resistance, offer satellite phones/communications.
Contact regional partners, infiltrate the country.
Contact Iranian regime sources who are also fed up with the mullahs.
Offer bribes to bring down the regime.

Or he’s not a neocon Bush. We are out of the nation building biz.

The biggest point is whether the army crushes the resistance, stays in their barracks or joins them. If the CIA isn’t talking to some Iranian generals right now they are too worthless to exist.

Why will it cost us a trillion dollars if the Clerics are removed from power due to internal uprising?

Someone’s inner NeoCon is stirring.

Like what the hell is any of that going to do with people that aren’t even able to shoot off anything more than their mouths at this point?

Iraq, Afghanistan, and too many other places have proven beyond all doubt that freedom cannot be given to a nation. That nation's people must fight for it and EARN it.

The idiot GWB and his neocon cabal never understood or cared for that reality.

You are right. We do not need to build nations. BUT we do need to protect ourselves against a nuclear Iran.
SO: Should we just glaze them as a dual purpose low cost alternative ?

Yes. After Obama instigated his "Arab Spring" and got the Muslim Brotherhood put into power in Egypt the people revolted and wound up kicking out the MB. That was good.

It’s irrelevant whether internal politics in countries thousands of miles away are “good for me’”

Iranians are genuinely sick of Clerical rule. Iran is a prison and people have the right to free themselves of shackles IF IT COMES FROM THEM.
