Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the longest serving Republican Senator in U.S. history, announced Tuesday he is retiring from the Senate at the end of his term.

This is a blow to the Trump administration. Trump encouraged Orrin Hatch to run for re-election.

Trump and Bannon have been working to block RINO hack Mitt Romney from running for the Utah Senate seat.

Mitt Romney has until March 15 to file for Hatch’s Senate seat.

There has to be someone better than Romney. He’s from Massachusetts, anyway.

Mitt Romney is a shoe in if he decides to run. We need to get a few more Conservatives in the Senate to offset Mitt.

DAMN IT!!!!! As if 2018 wasn’t going to be hard enough. Now we might be stuck with Romney or McMullen as a thorn in Trump’s butt. And that is not even talking about the House.....

At one time I thought she was great. Then about six months ago I stumbled across a thread explaining how she was not living up to her “billing” as a Conservative.

Granted, it was out of the blue for me, since I had really liked what I saw.

Hopefully I was wrong. I don’t believe I was.

We do not need people who sound reasoned one day and stab us in the back the next.

I’m posting this hear so others can chime in on the issue. I’m interested in hearing contemporary thoughts on her.

Calling RINOmney!

This is the perfect position for Mitt. Self-importance, treated like kings, RINO magnet, no leadership required.

Plus, as Willard waits to become a mormonic god, he can be pampered.

Oh please. Some said that about Strange but it sure would be nice to have him still in the Senate. As a whole, Republicans are idiots.

Actually,... it would be nice to have Moore in the Senate. And we would have had him if McConnell, Ryan, and the whole GOPe hadn’t gone after him tooth and nail.

He lost by around 20,000 votes. A Republican leader announced a write-in about two weeks before the election. That write-in person got over 20,000 votes.

Add in senator Shelby, no funding, no big names other than Trump late in the game to help out, and you have your disaster.

All these entities agreed to cut their lead in the Senate rather than allow Moore to serve.

Strange wasn’t even on the table at the time.

He was a milk-toast RINO, favored by McConnell, Ryan, and the GOPe. What possible help would he have been, another yes-man to the GOPe?
