Yet he's attacking some bad nationalism that goes against his own plans.
That may be typical of older, richer nations. "Nationalism" is always something the newer and poorer countries have and should shed over time.
But politicians in Old Europe aren't unwilling to make nationalistic appeals if it will advance their careers, especially if the rhetoric is only window dressing.
