Good that Grassley is now pushing. This must be a slam dunk.

Some sources are already reporting that the Yimes story is completely false.

Idiotic.
How about firings and charges for trying to frame a guy.
The guy invented a dog.
The FBI knew it was contrived.
To them and their horses....

The opening sentence portrays Republicans as standing against noble heroes and thus by extension with dastardly villains.

DOJ Dpty Atty Bruce Ohr was demoted in summer 2017 after the IG discovered unreported 2016 contacts between Ohr and “Golden Showers” Dossier author Christopher Steele.
Ohr also had contact with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson, in October 2016.

"certain communications between Christopher Steele and multiple U.S. news outlets regarding the so-called 'Trump dossier'"
Well, well. Does this mean that surveillance has been used to capture comms between media and dossier author Christopher Steele? I'd say so.
Does this mean multiple U.S. news outlets are crapping their pants right now? I'd say so.

Wait until you see the list of Fusion GPS paid hacks in the Media and those Inside Fedzilla that also paid for this garbage.
It will look like a DNC Campaign Donation list.

against one of the people who sought to expose itThe narrative employed by the Times that says that Steele was seeking to expose Russian interference is clearly and intentionally false.
There must be a section of the Times' editorial style book that explicitly spells out the need for their writers to repeat the official lies as frequently as possible, so that the lie can be spread widely and effectively.

Why not press charges against the rogues in the Justice Department who used it and turned the FBI into the KGB?

If they go this route, it dies with the Brit Spy story.
The NYT wants it to die so Media Matters and key journalists are not implicated in Obstruction of Justice.
The Senate wants it to die to keep key RINO Senators from being replaced.
