Originally they’d negotiated handing over some of the records. Is this the partial, negotiated docs or all of them?

I wonder what this means for Fusion GPS’ appeal.

IANAL, but would it render an appeal moot? Post facto and all that?

This is going to out the law firms used as cut outs/intermediaries. ‘Bye to attorney/client privilege, in this case?

Fusion GPS officials have hit back at House Republicans, saying they do not believe the dossier led to the federal probe into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russian election meddling.

Immaterial. The use of the dossier is an FBI issue, not an FGPS issue.

Poetic justice would be finding out CNN paid for it.

The bank records were handed over before Fusion appealed.

Seeing how it is the bank turning over the records, I doubt they have a business reason to hide anything, but the person compiling the records could be a Hillary supporter.

“Fusion GPS has argued that records turned over to Congress are likely to leak, potentially exposing their clients’ identities, violating the firm’s First Amendment rights and damaging their business.”

After what they have done they should be put out of business at the very least. I hope they are.

I know it natural to throw up caution signs but I’m pretty sure TD bank doesn’t want to get anywhere entangled into a political and especially legal matter and would make sure nothing is left out. Wash their hands of it and be through with it no matter their possible distaste for Trump or Republicans

I'm surprised they have knowledge of the U.S. constitution. It certainly doesn't come into play in their work practices.

“I wonder what this means for Fusion GPS’ appeal.”

The records are out of their hands now and in the hands of Congress. There were two reasons for appealing, one was to get an emergency stay, which they obviously did not, and the second one is to get a ruling that Congress was not authorized to see those documents.

Where that plays out is regarding what happens next. Because if the documents show one tenth the level of criminality that people suspect, based on Fusion’s Death Fight over them, then Congress will be sending the Justice Department a whole pile of criminal referrals - that is what is scaring the daylights out of Fusion GPS - but if it is ruled that Congress should have never seen the documents, then the Fusion people would have at least some grounds to say the referrals are invalid.

“Immaterial. The use of the dossier is an FBI issue, not an FGPS issue.”

And besides that, how the hell would Fusion know what was used in the FISA Court, when no one else knows?

Even most Hillary supporters at that level (the rank and file) are not about to spend years in jail to try to cover for her.

Maybe because Dellums was so willing to follow Cuban orders back in the 80s to vote in ways that would facilitate the construction of Soviet air bases in this hemisphere.

The comments section at “The Hill” is the very worst I have ever seen. Endless name calling and did-too/did-not bickering. What a waste of time.

Interesting article though. Bad news for the House of Clinton.
