An interesting result, as it raises a question that isnt often asked about declining NFL ratings. How many people are boycotting because they *agree* with the player protests?

To think, 33 percent of NFL fans missed out on one of the worst quarterbacked playoff games of all time this past Saturday in Jacksonville. If theres any doubt that Kaepernicks exile from the league is due partly, or even mostly, to politics rather than ability, go watch game film of Jags/Bills and ask if either team wouldnt have benefited from having him under center instead of their respective scrub QBs.

Very plausible. Both my wife and I were avid fans until all this SJW bs came along. Now we’re college football fans, and not watching the Ninnies, Felons and Losers until Goodell is good and gone.
Why would fans boycott if they agree with the player protests? Wouldn’t they be out there cheering the players on, be more likely to watch???
F the NFL
That is a 1/3 drop. Only, is a non sequitor...
What about last year, including the SB?
There is a similar discussion going on about The Last Jedi. YouTube has some interesting analysis on how SJW destroyed the entire franchise, and there is evidence they are right.
I didn’t watch more than 10 minutes total of NFL regular season games this year, and not only that, I made a deliberate conscious effort when flipping channels if watching TV on sundays not to stop at all on any station with an NFL game on so as not to trigger any signal feedback and/or channel selection data to ye old cable company.
Protest anything you want; politicans, issues, people, etc. Just not the stars and stripes.
I suspect these are democrat women who are so stupid they're boycotting movies because people are being mean to Weinstein... then when asked they don't know who Weinstein is...
Was it ever proven that allahpundit was the insufferable moron, little Joey Scarborough?
* 32% - in support of Donald Trump
* 22% - in solidarity with players kneeling
* 13% - “no interest in the teams playing
* 12% - in support of Colin Kaepernick
* 11% - news about traumatic brain injuries among players.
* 8% - games are boring.
* 46% - some other reason.
I’d go with “Who wants to watch violent, overpaid, pampered, Hate-America, phony grievance, low-life thugs play a child’s game?”
Or “Who wants to waste three precious hours to watch six minutes of action?”
Or maybe “Who wants to sit through endless commercials and watching brain-dead ‘analysts’ blather on about something so trivially unimportant?”
In one paragraph authors percentages add up to 144%.
32+22+13+12+11+8+46 = 144
ABSOLUTE BOYCOTT for me. I meant what I said as a man. Unlike some LYING Freepers who claim in threads they boycott THEN show up at Bender’s NFL thread and brag they watched it. Pathetic.
The NFL is dead to me... I can proudly say I did not watch one game this year! Still have the playoffs and StoopidBowl to ignore and I will have completed my goal!
I find it hilarious when they act like Kap is some all world QB talent. They forget that most of his success was when he first became a starter, and teams did not know how to treat a read option QB like him, RG3 or Russell Wilson. He eventually lost his job on the 49ers because once the league figured out how to handle a R/O QB, it meant that his game had to evolve, and it did not. He rarely made it all the way thru his progressions, and had horrible accuracy problems. Neither problem likely has improved since he has been out of the league, in fact, he most likely would be even worse than the QB that got benched. The Jags have Blake Bortles (3rd overall draft pick) still on a rookie deal, and he has many of the same problems that Kap has ... so why pay more for a veteran that would give you the same thing. Taylor is also similar in playing style to Kap, but better on his progressions and less happy feet. What people are envisioning is that Kap is actually Russell Wilson. Wilson has learned to become a pocket passer, and uses his feet to buy time for recievers to get open, but can still run (he was Seattles leading rusher this year) if he has to, and is extremely accurate and great under pressure (Most 4th Qtr TDs in NFL history this year). The problem is, Kap was not even equal to RW back in 2013, let alone today. RW evolved, Kap regressed.
Its to protest brother Colin not having a gig...
You display logical thinking and common sense. To the gulag with you! ;-)
I quit because my team sucks, the football is lousy, too many flags and replays, rules that are stupid and make no sense, no hitting or intensity, players more interested in politics than winning, and those damnable and endless “holiday” commercials at Christmas.
I wonder where the freeper is who always mocks those of us who have stopped watching this crap and have the audacity to say so?
The boycott is not limited to regular NFL fans—at least in my case. I never really followed sports, but would occasionally watch an NFL game. Now I won’t anymore unless and until they get out of the business of political sanctimony.
