The media didn’t let facts get in the way of fueling the collusion narrative, either. After receiving their marching orders from CNN, the media swung into action: This includes Vanity Fair, Natasha Bertrand at Business Insider, The Daily Mail, Fortune, The Hill, Reuters, and CNBC. Far-left sites like the Daily Kos, Vox, Salon, and Talking Points Memo joined the fray to falsely characterize all the ads as targeting swing states right before the election, when very few targeted swing states, let alone targeted these states in the run-up to the election.
The three major networks’ nightly news broadcasts also covered the narrative extensively, and CNN and MSNBC gave it wall-to-wall coverage. With this backdrop, HPSCI Democrats launched an all-out messaging and spin campaign based on the idea that the Russian activity on social media was sophisticated, and therefore indicative of collusion.

No body gives a rat’s ass if Russia buys a face book ad. That didnt change one vote in the election. Do they think we are stupid. Anyone can buy ads and post crap in the Unites States. There is no law prohibiting Russia , Israel or Guatamala from taking political positions here. Its called free speech. The leftists want to lie and say — well the people are so stupid that they got duped by the Russians. That is patent;y absurd. That criminal they ran for president was rejected along with her far left communism. GO TRUMP!!
We have an open forum with Free speech with minor restrictions.

They were staggeringly stupid.
There was no reason why Trump would “conspire” to pay for such drivel on a single site of marginal influence. He could buy far more persuasive ads with ease without “conspiring with Russians”.
If Russia paid for Facebook ads, that was clearly on their own initiative; the results were so bad he’d certainly tell ‘em “you’re fired!”
