He’s got his plate full undoing what the boy-king did. The wall can’t get designed, prototyped, bid on, sourced, funded, and built within a year. Trump has done some incredible things unbelievably fast, but he can’t speed up that process. We’re talking about 2000 miles and tens of thousands of men building it, depleting a lot of our current stock of building materials.

Sure, the Fed has been pumping money into the stock market ever since the 2007-8 housing bubble blowup/market crash.

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WALCL

The Fed has been laundering trillions through its balance sheet to mask the real damage it did with its serial bubble blowing.

“Sort of.
The Dow does have about 50% of the population investing in it.
The thing is, about 50% of the population, doesn’t have a dime in the Dow.
Those are the people, who really need help. And they don’t seem to be getting it at the moment.
Just gobs, and gobs, of stuff in every store, which is Made in China”.

Well, much of the people who you say need help or don’t get it are spending for immediate gratification instead of investing and deferring spending for their future. Quick statistic; 68% of those who have access to 401K, IRS, profit sharing, etc, either don’t take advantage of them or cash out as soon as there’s any vested money available. Stupid and irresponsible if you ask me...

Most of the 50% you commiserate with have made decisions to “lessen” their chances at being solvent/comfortable. Show me a country with 50% “needing help” and I’ll show you a country where that 50% has been negligent, made bad decisions, and bought into the liberal mindset that the People just can’t do it w/o the government’s help.

Prototypes of the wall have been built and evaluated. Then numbers of illegals crossing the border have been cut way back.

We have pulled out of the Trans Pacific partnership.

Cut back on EPA, reinvigorated the coal industry, and reduced taxes, which make the U.S. much more competitive with China.

It takes a while for all this to have an effect.

You are wrong when you say nothing has been done on the wall or China.

Every other market is booming too. The DOW is simply a predictor of future growth and it loves what Trump is doing.

Except this implies that FDR was successful with saving the economy, and he wasn’t, since he indeed made the Depression worse and long-lasting. It took over 2 decades to recover. - fieldmarshaldj
It took FDR a ‘planned ‘ war to improve the economy. It was rigged.
The New Dealers' War:
FDR and the War Within World War II
by Thomas Fleming
FDR’s nostrums didn’t work in actuality because, tho FDR made his political career out of blaming Hoover for the depression and FDR’s own inability to get out of it, FDR’s policies were the same policies that got the US into the depression in the first place - and worse.

WWII did stop the depression, because it stopped the New Deal. FDR himself said that “Doctor New Deal” had to give way to “Doctor Win-the-war.”

Freedom's Forge:
How American Business Produced Victory in World War II
Arthur Herman
clarifies two things:
  1. the timing of the effect of WWII on the US economy, and
  2. the timing of the US logistics “miracle.”
Both trace to the efforts of FDR to keep Britain from coming to terms with Hitler (which, Churchill did not shy away from telling FDR, could have put the Royal Navy under Hitler’s command). FDR installed (what was then not called a “czar”) in charge of military production readiness. He knew from his experience at the Navy during WWI that it took time to get tooled up for military production, and upon the May, 1940 Fall of France he asked Bernard Baruch to ramrod the effort. Baruch demurred on grounds that he was too old. FDR asked who should do the job, and Baruch emphatically nominated Chevrolet exec Bill Knudsen.

The long pole in the logistic tent was machine tools, and secondly factory buildings. Asked about the necessary lead time, Knudsen estimated 18 months. During that time, FDR was tapping into any reserves he could lay hands on and shipping them to Britain. At the end of the 18 months, coincidentally (?) Pearl Harbor was attacked. By then the military inventory of the US was very thin indeed - but Knudsen had done his work. So the pipeline got filled during 1942, and from then on the US was a the logistical powerhouse.

It took decades for us to find ourselves in this position, and it will take a good amount of time to right this ship.

Not making excuses for the President, but if the Republican leadership at large wasn’t actively working against him things would be moving along much faster. The Congress could have and should have repealed 0bamacare a year ago but they didn’t. That alone would have had a very positive effect of Joe and Jane Average.

But to your point I do think fixing our infrastructure would have been a better way to go for the rank-and-file American, but the tax issue was addressed first. Hopefully infrastructure is next.

But this President is fighting an uphill battle with the media, his own party and the anti-American Democrats.

Wasn’t the Dow supposed to plunge because Trump was elected?

Boy, when this bubble bursts, it will be like Mt. Saint Helens going up. This thing cannot keep going like this. This may be the bomb that destroys the world’s economies in these Last Days of history. The Bible tells us that bad things are coming. No mention of America in the Scriptures in these Last Days. Something happens to the USA. No one really knows what. Attacks from Russia, China, Iran, NK, with EMP blasts? Probably the economic bomb takes down America. The Harpazo itself can cause that. If you do not KNOW Him personally, I urge you to seek Him out. We do not know when that time will be, but when it happens, it is too late. Anyone left behind after the Harpazo will be left to do it all on his/her own. The Holy Spirit will not be here to indwell you and keep you safe. Please do it now friends if you do not have a personal relationship with the LORD.
