President Trump = The Better Quarterback Wins (Vanity)

A high pressure situation with lots of screaming, intimidation, maybe even threats of violence ... the Democrat-Media Complex thought they had President Trump where they wanted him, forcing him into a scenario where he could be shown as overwhelmed, bumbling, inept. But instead, the SchumerShutdown only takes Donald Trump back to 1980s New York City, where he learned bargaining the hard way, with corrupt bureaucrats, lying politicans, and threatening union goons. And Trump learned well then, because look at how he's now handling the shutdown. The only leverage the Dems ever had was to tie the budget to immigration, to (yet once again) try to portray Republicans as heartless and racist. So the first thing Trump & McConnell did was to remove any reference to immigration, and just make the vote strictly on one question - Do you want to keep the government running? Now the Dems have to wear that, and for them the optics by continuing to say no are bad, real bad. They simply can't keep this up, but they hate to cave in because they know Trump will claim credit. Plus, Trump & McConnell can use this same template the next time Dems try to hold the government hostage. Win-win. Watching this thing unfold - obviously there's still a long way to go - you get the impression that Donald Trump really likes being the big-game quarterback, likes being the guy forced into big situations, likes the high-stakes midnight negotiations, and especially likes stiffening the resolve of those around him (ex., Ryan, McConnell) .... you get the impression that Donald Trump, as a negotiator, knows what he's doing .... and that puts people at ease. The firm resolve is also a good sign, given that there are other "big games" coming up - North Korea, renegotiating NAFTA, the Wall .... let's see how the Shutdown turns out, so far it looks like we have the better quarterback.

Good leaders inspire others, and that seems to be rubbing off from President Trump to those around him. Now get rid of the non-cooperative jerks like McCain, Flakey, Corker, Collins, et al, and you might actually be able to get some things done.

By the way, who's the QB for the Democrats? Skinny Obama?

(Photoshop that!)

In the Obama administration, the Republicans did not have a quarterback.

I really admire the officers in the court room for not shooting him in the head right then and there. Of course, they have families to think about. His deranged smirking and taunting is intolerable.

Trump wrote best seller book "The Art of the Deal" 30 years ago

and has been involved in high level negotiations for half a century

from the article:

back to 1980s New York City, where he learned bargaining the hard way, with corrupt bureaucrats, lying politicans, and threatening union goons. And Trump learned well then

Games set and match to Trump.

In a sane and just land that POS would be taken out back and shot after making that statement...

He’s clearly a present danger to decent society...

After all, we put down rabid dogs...

I'd say well before just the 1980's - it counts for much that his dad had been playing the same game for decades since he was a young teen and had amassed priceless knowledge and experience to pass on to and guide young Donald when he took over the family business in the early seventies.
