...it will not end well. This is a former criminal defense lawyer who explains why NO ONE, especially the innocent, should waive their 5th amendment rights. Seriously. DON'T DO IT MR. PRESIDENT.

This is the best legal advice video I have ever watched. Period.

But if you read his qualifying statement about Hillary, you would be able to put his remarks in a certain perspective. Plus, there is really not a very good optic surrounding Mueller or the FBI concerning their ethics and conflict of interest and other dubious shenanigans, therefore, Donald is likely not in the wrong by making the sort of statement that he did.

yes, every young street gangster, hood know not to talk to cops or investigators or prosecutors
(and rightly so)

certainly President Trump should receive at least as good legal advice as the local punks?

keep quiet. and since he’s the president, he can do something more... he can fire Musller and shut down this silly circus NOW

I think he should just sit tight for 60 days or so. Mueller and his entire pony show is going to collapse from its own poison.

Trump does not need to say one word to end it.

Trump’s offer to testify under oath to Mueller is breathtakingly stupid. Mueller knows there was no collusion. That will not be the point of the questions. Mueller has the benefit of a year’s worth of discovery of every memo and email produced in the WH. He will try to get Trump to contradict one of these, or at least contradict one of the other witnesses, then get the all Democrat grand jury to indict for perjury and obstruction. There will be no innocent misrecollection- every statement will viewed as deliberate deception.

I’m afraid we have seen the beginning of the Trump presidency, which will conveniently coincide with next November’s election.

Cops and prosecutors are in business to make a case against you. Not investigating
so they can be your friend.

I don’t think the investigation will last that much longer. He will never have to speak to him.

Trump is just following Reagan’s lead, who testified twice in Iran-Contra, under oath.

Is not Reagan good enough?

I read that Trump took a young boy on a ride over NY in Airforce One. When the boy asked, “Are you Batman?”, Trump said, “Yes.”

I think that when Mewler ask, “Will you testify?”, Trump said, “Yes” and too Mewler for a ride on the underside of the Trump train.

I'm certainly no religious guy, but I don't think DJT has this job by accident.

So, ye of little faith, buck up !

Believe me - I hope I’m wrong. But...I have extensive experience dealing with “situations” like this, and I have NO faith in the objectivity of Mueller or his team or the DC grand Jury. The name of their game is to find something to nail Trump with. My guess is that their aim is impeachment, rather than criminal conviction.

I have warmed to Trump. But, he has some major flaws (as do we all), and his main one is his “self confidence” that he can beat Mueller at Mueller’s game on Mueller’s home field. He also “overstates” his case - dangerous while under oath.

.. and I have NO faith in the objectivity of Mueller or his team or the DC grand Jury ..

Nor do I .. but what I DO have faith in his our President and 'the force' that gave him this job.
He's neither a politician nor a fool, but exactly the sort that many of the Founders envisaged for the role of Chief Executive.

Many 'free lawyers' here on FR tonight seem to think that prosecutors are somehow bulletproof, when they're most assuredly not.
Scores of them are defeated every single hour of every single court day in the US.

Imho, President Trump didn't agree to this deposition out of hubris.
He's privy to things that we simply have no current knowledge of, and I can only trust he'll use that knowledge to best protect himself and our Nation.

The ONLY thing Trump should say to Mueller is “You’re Fired.”

And then sic a special prosecutor on Mueller and his whole team.

He’s a ClintonObama hack.

It is documented that Trump stated;
“I Am Batman!”...?
Admissible in Court to Impeach Him.
