French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday that he would not recognize Palestine as an independent state as a reaction to US President Donald Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

“I will not take any decision in reaction to any decision,” Macron told reporters in response to a Times of Israel question on the potential recognition of a Palestinian state.

Meanwhile, the Muslim invaders are making Paris the capital
of their latest new conquered state.

Perhaps that made sense in French...

That won’t be much of a problem. France will just move its capital to Vichy.

Perhaps. Refreshing if a world leader doesn't behave like a petulant child that will say/do stupid things in order to virtue signal their self-professed superiority to Trump. I am under no illusions that Macron is a man in the mold of Trump but I do recognize that he hasn't, to my knowledge, ever poked him in the eye.

Thought the capital was already moved to (Eastern) Germany.

If countries stand with Palestinians it means the United States saves the money we usually send them AND it won't change our support of Israel.

And those people who stand with us? We'll remember - and we'll stand with them when they need us. Trump's got this one figured out.

Huh? He is taking the pro-Israel position here. Macron is the candidate the Israel lobby in France backed during the last election.

Sorry. Pre-coffee burp. I read “Jerusalem” instead of “Palestine” because of my preconceived biases.

Macron is an economically moderate liberal with some room for maneuver. What matters is: he treats our president with respect, loves French culture, Europe, and for whatever excesses there are of the "Israel lobby" --> Macron is historically astute enough to recognize that much of the cultural devastation ravaging Western Civilization can be traced to lingering demons left in the wake of the catastrophic Holocaust and Wars from which Europe has yet to heal.

And now virulent strains of anti-Semitism is shared by both Jihadists and Nazi-sympathizing-fascists-at-heart.

Macron so beautifully acknowledged the need for the French to acknowledge their reluctance in confronting complictness in the crimes of the Nazis, and how it has held France back for much of the past century.

By acknowledging its faults, France has opened the way to repairing them. That is to its honor. That is the sign of a strong nation that can face its past. That is the courage of a people not afraid to examine its conscience and reach out to the victims and their children. Reaching out and reforming ties does not mean humiliating ourselves through some sort of repentance. It is standing tall and being strong.

- Emmanuel Macron

Macron is an anti-white globalist and it’s very telling that you praise him like that.

It is interesting that the Euros base their decisions about Israel and the palestinians based on an American President they don't like. One might think it's an excuse.
