It has taken a long time to steer this party away from the Rockefeller patrician wing, and President Reagan was at the helm before the movement had critical mass.
All true what you said. But, falling for the blanket Amnesty ruse to 3 million illegals by Tip O’Neill was a blunder of gargantuan proportions. Condoning and pardoning illegal behavior is guaranteed to cause MORE illegal behavior. Anyone who does not understand is not a good student of history. Now we have anywhere from 11 to 30+ million illegals here. Not to mention a million DACA people.
