Remember a month or two ago, when the Democrat party leaders all woke up one morning and started in with that fake news chorus, something to the effect of “Trump is about to fire Mueller, and boy oh boy, if he does, well, then that’s obstruction, we’ll impeach him!”?
They were all saying the same thing as if they had received their fake news marching orders from the DNC.
This just sounds like a rehashing of that same fake news meme - but a month late.
The original strategy was, if they couldn’t actually get Trump on collusion, the next best thing was to bait him into firing Mueller, and then get him on obstruction.
Then, after they realized Trump wasn’t taking the bait, they seemingly resorted to just starting a fake news rumor out of whole cloth - hoping that just the phrase “Trump is firing Mueller” would start a Nixonian “I am not a Crook” meme in the MSM.
This seems like a part of that same failed attempt - but this particular fake news effort was apparently stuffed in a bottle and washed up on the beach a month late.
The Dems will never quit trying to paint Trump as a scared, incompetent and frustrated loser, held hostage by deep state enemies within his own cabinet, angry, bitter, defensive and refusing to heed his own counsel.
Nice try - he’s anything but.
Trump’s real strategy is to fulfill his stump campaign promise to return power to We The People.
The Democrats and Uniparty keep expecting the Trump Administration to try to consolidate power in DC in an Obama-like fashion. They assume he’ll collude, obstruct, manuever, blackmail, muscle his way into power, and abuse his DOJ, FBI, IRS the way the leftists do.
They are completely blind to the fact that Trump is simply not the bully they have always claimed he is.
I think that’s Trump’s advantage - he’s doing something the Left can’t even imagine: he’s giving up DC power by deregulating, corporate tax cuts, withdrawing from international trade agreements and treaties, freeing up public land for privatized pipelines and tollways, - and much, much more behind the scenes that we don’t see.
The irony is that when you drain the swamp, DC powerbrokers, deep state, quasi military, K street lobbyists, -all giving up control.
They expect Trump to abuse his executive power to fire Mueller, weaponize his various departments, make power alliances with GOPe and otherwise muscle his way into a position of control in DC.
He’s doing the opposite - slowly weakening the DC infrastructure by pulling out Jenga pieces one by one.
The appearance is that he’s weakening his own administration - failing to assert himself over Mueller, Rosenstien, Sessions, etc. - but his genius is that a weaker DC is exactly what he wants - he is returning the power to We the People.

Let’s hope that he weakens it enough that it will take nearly forever to get it back to where it was when he took office. I would love to see everyone come to the realization that they like it better this way. It’s tough with this diabolical media.

This is interesting because I was thinking along the same lines last night. How in the hell do you move in and dis-arm the politicization (and thus source of corrupt decision making) in the FBI/DOJ and agencies recently hinted (strongly) in recent news for corrupt activities WITHOUT doing the same thing yourself?
I didn’t make the jump to considering that it’s a trap. Perhaps they strategy on their part was considered a win/win. Either Trump lets them keep the power that Obama/Hillary regime gave them, and they stay weaponized, or Trump moves in to overthrow their power, and they have people and procedures in place to make him pay for it.
Thrump is threading the needle between giving them neither win.
This explains why there has been so much press from capital hill oversignt committees lately, with no action yet, which has been frustrating me so much lately. The information IS the battle. Action is not. Not yet... when it would appear to be unilateral and would be framed by the media as pre-emptive, even though it’s not
The swampocrats in both parties built this monstrosity of a federal leviathan state. When they get in office, they use it. They also expand it.
It needs to be burnt to the ground. Any government power not explicitly authorized to the feds in the Constitution is forbidden to them.
So transparent. Mueller is still on the job, so where is the beef?
Maybe they went back to Russia where they belong?

AND THEN....out pops a story alleging that MONTHS AGO Trump threatened to fire Mueller, something they would have gleefully spattered across page 1 and dominated CNN for days at the time.
So WHY does this story just pop out when a distraction is most needed by the Dems/Media who are losing on every other front?
Who decided this was THE lead story for the 4AM daily MSM talking points?
Do you believe this is just good luck, or coincidence?
Think again.
Until they look down and discover that Trump's pulled their pants down.
