Pro-Trump Czech president who warned of 'organized invasion' of migrants wins re-election

Europe’s populist movement was given a shot in the arm on Saturday when Czech Republic President Milos Zeman, running primarily on an anti-migration platform, fended off a challenge from political neophyte Jiri Drahos.

Zeman won 51.4 percent of the vote from the two-day runoff while Drahos won 48.6 percent.

Czech Radio reports that Drahos won in most of the main cities, while Zeman scored big with smaller towns and the countryside, with analysts saying Zeman’s “common touch” made the difference.

Zeman, a former left-wing prime minister who ascended to the presidency in 2013, had been widely criticized for what critics described as Islamophobic rhetoric, and had also raised concerns in Western Europe by taking a distinctly pro-Russian approach on questions such as the annexation of Crimea.

Zeman, who has warned of an “organized invasion” of migrants and asked why young men fleeing their country didn’t take up arms and fight back home, had embraced the populist wave that swept through the West in 2016.

He was one of very few European leader to endorse President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House and by calling for a referendum on the Republic’s membership of the European Union, has taken a page from the British “Brexit” vote.

It was an organized invasion.

So is the organized invasion of our southern border.

When will people wake up?

Globalism and the Global Cabal of evil is not a myth. They have a plan, and are executing it.

I don’t like him.

I didn’t like the Dutch populist with bad hair nor Marine Le Pen in France either (though I liked her niece.) - Macron has surprised me and is the best ally Trump has in Europe right now and yet none of his rhetoric seemed immediately correct on paper.

Just because someone is “far right” by European standards doesn’t mean they’re automatically good.

“I don’t like him.”

That is the left manipulating your feelings. Why would anyone have an emotional connection to any political candidate if you don’t know them personally? You vote for the candidate is going to help you the most or hurt you the least. I can guarantee that the re-elected Czech president is going to be better for the Czechs, Europe,’and America than the leftard idiot that lost.

The GHW Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA) is almost complete.
They just need one more amnesty.

We lost the Cold War just by the a-holes of Western Europe after the fact.

Eastern Europeans who broke the chains get it but it will be very difficult to push against the EU swamp.

Why can’t people see not only that it IS an invasion, but that their own leaders are FACILITATING it and want them dead?

You are globalist neocon who wants a third world Europe. Thank’s for clarifying that just in case anyone wasn’t sure.

When you say Macron is an “ally” of Trump, which he isn’t, what you really mean is that Macron has been pushing a neocon type foreign policy of confrontation with Iran. That’s what you like.

If you are a Christian, and you pray, often accompanied by love Czech classical music no less— then there’s something called the Holy Spirit informing your intuition.

This man, Milos Zeman, used to belong to the Communist Party in a beautiful Catholic country that fought so hard and gave so much for its independence from the USSR.

And as a former resider in Russia, with firsthand experience of the Putin State run by lying, ex-KGB cheats:

I don’t want a former card carrying member of the Communist party beholden to the whims and sick revisionist fantasies of ex-KGB Vladimir Putin anywhere near the reins of a European country.

Milos Zaman was a Communist Party member when the Czechs won their independence.

And Marine Le Pen father’s father is a Nazi-sympathizer.

Her niece Marion Marechal-Le Pen is a genuine Catholic on the other hand but taking a break from politics.

Goldenstate_rose, an clear majority of the citizens of the eastern block counties professed to be good communists because they had to. I think that we would do well to look at the results of the efforts former communist politicians rather than their past. Being a former professed communist politician is surely a black mark that calls for caution but it’s not a scarlet letter. A person in a communist country could not be successful all if they didn’t at least pay lip service to the powers that ruled in those times. It is like modern people judging George Washington as irredeemably evil because he owned slaves in a time when 90% of the wealthy people own slaves. Perspective is called for in these situations.

Hmm if you lived in today’s Russia, you would speak differently.

At this point I only find Poland to be the most trustworthy ally in Europe: they are pro-sovereignty, pro-America, but anti-Kremlin.

Hungary/Czech Republic is motivated equally by communist nostalgia as they are by anti-migrant sentiments.

And that Zeman was a communist and Drahos was not during crucial “Prague Spring” era.

I don’t know much about Drahos other than the same things being said about him were said about French Pres Macron and Macron is not turning out to be so bad. (Whereas I am confident LePen have been a disaster.)

Hungary/Czech Republic is motivated equally by communist nostalgia as they are by anti-migrant sentiments. Probably because propaganda is targeted in such a way so as to suggest: “remember when the USSR was in charge? No migrants?”

Sick deceptive propaganda at its finest. Poles wouldn’t fall for that crap.
