On Thursday, 20-year-old Mahad Abdiaziz Adbiraham pleaded guilty to stabbing two men at the Mall of America.
The incident occurred on Nov. 12, where authorities say he stabbed two brothers in a dressing room at the mall's Macy's.
At the plea hearing Thursday, Abdiraham's attorney read a statement — which is public record — to the courtroom, which explained why he attacked the two men.
In the statement, Abdiraham said he went to the Mall of America to answer the "call for jihad by the Chief of Believer, Abu-bakr Al-baghdadi, may Allah protect him, and by the Mujahiden of the Islamic State."
The statement added, "I understand that the two men I stabbed know and have explained the reason for my attack, and I am here reaffirming that it was indeed an act of Jihad in the way of Allah."
Abdiraham also said in the statement that Americans will not be safe as long as "your country is at war with Islam."

He went on to add that the federal government's effort to make it difficult for would-be jihadists to travel abroad and join a terrorist group has had unintended consequences locally.
Maybe he has a point. Anyone who wants to leave and commit jihad can do so - but don't ever expect to be allowed back in the US.

back in the good old days, he would just be taken out and shot. But in our feeble Alan Alda metrosexual wah-wah think of the children and sustainable fish times, he’ll just be let out. Someone should give him training on how to remove a bra, like they do in Germany
But, many PC dumb-asses in the US and elsewhere will still refuse to believe what the jihadi is telling everyone.

Someone please refresh my memory - weren’t we told (by police, media) that this was not an act of terrorism or jihad?
I can just see officials and reporters frantically waving their hands to get his attention and saying “Ixnay on the ihadJay!”
Mahad: This was an act of terrorism.
Police: No it wasn’t. He doesn’t know anything about it. He’s just jumping to conclusions because a Muslim committed the crime. He’s a racist.
I’m ready for a backlash against use of the pseudo-psychological word “islamophobia”.
And, this just in: Moslems fear an Islamophobic backlash following tomorrow’s terrorist attack.
I think it was Mark Steyn who first said some variation of the above.
He did it.
I admire that he admits doing so. Now put him in a room with some hungry pigs and lock the door.
Yet, the number of Americans publicly stabbed by U.S. Jews remains zero. Hmmm.
The perp himself calls it an “act of jihad” but I expect CNN will call it
‘an understandable act of resistance in these Trumpled times.’
Looks like he may have resisted arrest a little.
