The Two Republicans Who Voted Against The 20-Week Abortion Ban
Daily Caller ^ | 1/29/18 | Peter Hasson

Two Republican senators helped kill a 20-week abortion ban in the Senate on Monday evening.

The Senate voted 51-46 in favor of the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which was short of the 60 votes required to proceed to a final vote under current Senate rules.

Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine both voted against the bill, which would have prohibited abortions on unborn babies after 20 weeks, the age at which they can feel pain, with exceptions in cases ripe, incest or to save the life of the mother.

Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain was absent as he battles brain cancer in his home state.

Three Democratic Sens. voted in favor of the bill: Joe Donnelly of Indiana, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Bob Casey of Pennsylvania.

Pro-life advocacy group Susan B. Anthony List immediately announced the organization would target four Democratic senators from Trump states who opposed the ban and are up for re-election in 2020: Sherrod Brown from Ohio, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, North Dakota’s Heidi Heitkamp and Montana’s Jon Tester.

Polling has found that 60 percent of Americans support a 20-week abortion ban.

Nasty RINO women.
And Claire McCaskill continues to dig her own grave, never mind the fetuses.

Dear God, what are they THINKING???

Thinking with their sit-upons.

Gender identity politics at its worst.

Murdering babies, chopping them apart and selling their parts is ghoul behavior...except to lunatics.

The unconscionable disregard for the sanctity of human life in this country, especially since Roe v. Wade, is horrifying!!!

How any of these heartless creatures can abide aborting pregnancies that are well into the second trimester is beyond any comprehension.

I understand the essential basis of this bill was focused on the demonstrable pain unborn babies suffer during such late term procedures.

One can only hope that the ones who voted against protecting these innocent lives will face a day of reckoning—particularly upon their own deaths!!!

I know a young man who was born too early at 25 weeks. He’s doing very well though he does have cerebral palsy.

This ban makes a lot of sense.

A medical miracle: World's most premature baby, born at 21 weeks and five days, goes home to her delighted parents

A record-breaking baby girl who was born at just 21 weeks and five days has spent Easter at home with her delighted parents after spending five months in neonatal care.

Little Frieda was born on November 7, 2010, at Fulda Children's Hospital in Germany. She weighed just 1lb and measured 11 inches.

21 weeks now. When will it be younger?

Proving that there is no correlation between gender and integrity. There are women and men who will do what’s right and protect the innocent, no matter what the personal cost. And there are men and women who don’t.

RAT-commie Brown is a lefty’s lefty. I hope the Republicans here in Ohio nominate someone who can take him out. As for Susan Collins — has anyone seen her on television lately? Her voice is very shaky and her head shakes and bobs. I wonder if she has Parkinson’s.
