He had his driver’s license briefly suspended for failing to properly report a minor accident while driving a department-issued car, and he also flunked a marksmanship test.

Why does SF have a Sheriff?
More large cities have a PD. Counties have Sheriffs.
Except for Las Vegas, at least.
I know that NYC contains multiple counties (called boroughs), but don’t think they have Sheriffs.
