Small Confederate monument on far South Congress vandalized

A Confederate monument the size of a large tombstone on far South Congress was defaced recently, tagged with spray paint and smeared with an unsanitary substance.
The marker on the west side of South Congress, just south of William Cannon now features the old Communist hammer and sickle emblem in red spray paint. A yellow sign laying in a nearby ditch reads “Confederacy = dog (expletive).”

I like the way we still honor the fallen soldiers on the other side.
That doesn’t mean we agree with them. It simply means that we all agreed to let bygones be bygones and get along.
We have come pretty close to equal rights in his nation, and do better all the time, except for folks who try to expunge history and game it for racial games/gains.
