The Kurdish fight is humanity’s fight
Jerusalem Post ^ | January 30, 2018 22:12 | Sarah N. Stern

I would like to believe that the United States can once again assume the mantle of the moral leader of the world.

In 1939, when the Nazis rolled into Poland, my aunt, whose name I carry, was forced to strip naked and dig a hole, into which she and the other members of her village were summarily mowed down.

Many in the Western world turned a deaf ear to the cries of my aunt, as well as to those of six million other Jews.

America was exhausted and war weary after having fought World War I, in which approximately 30 million people had been killed, and was in a period of profound isolationism and retreat.

This picture is not too dissimilar from what is happening today in northwestern Syria.

Turkey is attacking a quiet region of Syria called Efrin.

He is in the beginning of a new Genocide. Turkey has committed many Massacres and Genocides and never once admitted to a single case.

Does NATO membership make a country immune to accountability?

It is clear, Erdogan the Islamist's Turkey is incompatible with NATO.

So, do we admit it?

And the God damned Turks are the inhuman “Orcs” as far as I’m concerned. They will deserve every bad thing that happens to them.

Turkey has knowingly hired former ISIS fighters into the militias that they are using to attack Afrin (lots of them).

They know full well the kind of war crimes and atrocities to expect from these monsters.

In a short video clip that I saw recently of some these so called “Free Syrian Army” militias, it was clear that they were hopped up on stimulants - a trademark of the Captagon abusing ISIS fighters.

Thanks.

Not surprised, like our ComDems, Erdogan’s Turkey accuses the Kurds of using the drugs that ISIS has long used. Of course that it total rubbish, but the technique of blaming your enemy of what you do is the same evil technique.

Right now, I’d settle for some chains put on Erdogan.

Trump wants nothing to do with a Caliph. His is not on the dark side.

Sorry, these things move in waves, I get excited and don’t pay enough attention to detail and loose track of which post I’m replying to.

When I am tired, it is worse.

Lately, I’ve even caught myself replying to myself. Headshake

However, I’ve notice from time to time, I’m not the only one who does that.

Wonder if it is an age thing. hee hee hee

I hope you are right. It is noted that our military has no intention of moving back from Manbij.

I’m very concerned for Efrin. We are not in a position of delivering air cover on Turkey there. There are substitutes that could appear, but not as effective.

I called my congressman yesterday about trying to arrange for humanitarian assistance to the Hospital in Efrin. It is the only one in the region. They are handling lots of casualties with no easy replenishment supplies. Almost totally surrounded.

He has helped me before, hope he comes through this time. USAID helped greatly in Raqqa. These are not small things.

Day before yesterday they buried 26 in Manbij.

This pic tugged at my heart:

Yep, and remember to load your ammo last onto your supply ships so it is the first thing you unload at the beachhead.

Kurds apologized for their aiding the genocide against the Armenians. Some of us may not be aware of this:

According to Pat Buchanan, Putin gave the green light for Erdogan to go after the Kurds:

Turkey also sits astride the Dardanelles entrance to the Black Sea. NATO’s loss of Turkey would thus be a triumph for Vladimir Putin, who gave Ankara the green light to cleanse the Kurds from Afrin.

Yet Syria is but one of many challenges to U.S. foreign policy.

The real danger in Efrin? Kurd critical mass.

I the Kurds were to suddenly have manpods and ATGW’s in great numbers, the Turks could be in serious trouble in Afrin.

They can pull experience soldiers from Iraq, Iran and Turkey to fight the Turks in Syria.

A this point the US shows no indication of removing protection from Kurds in Rojava. And the Arabs around them support the Kurds.

This below is an opinion piece, so it doesn’t mean it is so, especially coming from Oklahoma State U prof. Joshua Landis’ website:

Why the US Will Dump Kurds for Turkey
By Abd al-Qadir Abu Yusuf
http://www.joshualandis.com
Posted 2018-01-31 18:15 GMT

Operations by the Turkish army and Syrian rebels against the Syrian Democratic Forces’ [SDF] enclave of Afrin in northwest Aleppo province has brought to the forefront the issue of relations between international powers regarding the Syrian crisis, especially Russia, Turkey and the United States. Abd al-Qadir Abu Yusuf, a well-connected independent media activist based in the key rebel-held north Aleppo countryside town of Azaz, offers his perspective on these matters. I have known him since 2014 when he was the spokesman for the Northern Storm Brigade, which is presently part of the Shami Front that is participating in the Afrin operations against the SDF. Like many people in Azaz, he is a supporter of the ‘Olive Branch’ operations against the SDF in Afrin. The views expressed in this piece are solely his own and do not necessarily reflect my opinions or those of Syria Comment. — Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi, Translator

The dreams of the PKK- bearing the title of SDF in Syria- broadened when it saw Turkey enter into a great crisis because of its great disagreement with Russia and bringing down Russian aircraft, so it strove to seize half of the north Aleppo countryside through an alliance with Russia that responded to the bringing down of the aircraft by striking the allies of Turkey: the Free Army.

And what increased Turkey’s crisis is America’s retreat to the backseat, the withdrawing of MIM-104 Patriots and the lack of entry of the NATO alliance with Turkey into its crisis with Russia. The pressure also increased on Turkey through the broadening of SDF’s operations in east Syria with absolute American support for operations against the Dawla organization [Islamic State], including the Turkish red line west of the Euphrates: Manbij.
