Moving out of CA in 2009 was a great decision. I pay a dollar less per gallon of gas. Let us count the ways the CA gov't screws the driving public:

1: Special formula gas that segregates the CA market form the rest of the nation.

2: Charges sales tax on gas.

3: One of the highest gas excise taxes in the US.

4: Hidden carbon tax on gas.

Pa has highest gas tax in the country not CA and won’t get anywhere near $4 a gallon

$2.45 a gallon for gas.

$2.50+ a gallon for tax.

They can send thank-you tweets to Governor Moonbeam.

Likewise a CA ex-pat (2011).

You have to love CA — they love the poor people so much they pass THE MOST REGRESSIVE TAX THERE IS.

CA (So Cal at least) has no public transportation to speak of. So how do the working poor get to work? THEY DRIVE.

But CA is now talking about stealing Corp tax breaks at the point of a gun, so I guess everyone gets screwed.

So glad I left, even if I do miss the beach and the weather.

Gas prices in general have been higher the past year over the year before. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see 3.50 to 4.00 by summer and I’m not in CA or PA or either coast.

And if it doesn’t reach $4 a gallon the legislature will call a special session just to raise taxes until it does /s

Actually I am surprised that the state does not set a minimum price per gallon regardless of what the suppliers set the price as. Anything over what the suppliers set goes to the state.

I once read a small book titled Coup d’état. It basically explained how and why they happened.

One of the reason is taxes. There is no magic level where a Coup is inevitable but there is a real limit. When it is reached the people will revolt.

California is a one party state. They have fixed it so only Democrats can win. They believe they can do pretty much anything they want and the media will cover for them.

Will hire gas prices be the straw that brings the Democrats down? Who knows. What is known is that nothing goes on forever. While the rest of the country enjoys prosperity, California is becoming a third world country full of Mexicans wanting to retake California for Mexico.

We are indeed living in interesting times.

The gas tax plus .36 a gallon sales tax .13 a gallon on gasoline is .49 a gallon total in CA

PA is .58 cents a gallon Trust me, PA has the highest tax on gas in the country no matter how you slice it.

Its not even close

CA will raise taxes and cause gas to go up. The media will rush to CA, waiting feverishly by the signs of gas stations, with cameras ready, for the first number that begins with 4, and they will blame it on Trump.

= = =

Maybe not so much /s.

CA raised the gas tax when the gas price was at a low.

So not so much a shock for customers.

Nobody in California except the Gaia worshipers and greedy liberal politicians wanted this, the public had no say in Moonbeams gas tax to pick the taxpayers pocket. There is a movement to put it on the ballot and if that happens Moonbeams little redistribution plan will go to the same place he should.

If it's Brown, flush it down!
