It would be crazy of him to quit. The House Committee is observing all of the procedural requirements. They can release what they want if the President does not object within five days, in writing, with specific reasons for his objections.

All Wray can do is lobby the President to object to the document. If Wray threatens to quit, he would be quitting because his boss, the President, didn’t knuckle under to Wray’s requests and try to block the release. That would be absurd. (Not that absurd things are that unusual in our government these days).
