A distraught father seething over sexual abuse suffered by three daughters tried to attack former sports doctor Larry Nassar in a Michigan courtroom Friday after a judge rejected his request to confront the "demon" in a locked room, a stunning rush that reflected the anguish felt by parents who trusted him with their children.
Randall Margraves was blocked by an attorney, tackled by sheriff's deputies and hauled out of court. He later apologized, saying he had lost control. Eaton County Judge Janice Cunningham said there was "no way" she would fine him or send him to jail under her contempt-of-court powers.

Thats what dads do.
Probably guilt that he ever left his girls alone with a reprobate like Nassar in the first place.
Nassar will get his in prison. I predict he will be killed.
Judge: “Bad Dad! Well, I’m not going to charge you. In fact, let me buy you a beer, pal.”
Exactly how was he to know he was a reprobate? How is one to know if a doctor is a reprobate if hes never been caught and has the public trust enjoyed by that profession?
I feel sorry for the dad, but why does he need a GoFundMe, he wasn’t charged with anything.
I don’t know the particulars of his personal situation.
Maybe one of his union brothers started, it in anticipation that he would be charged. Your guess is as good as mine.
How often on FR, have you read, *let him be alone in a room with the perp*? Hundreds? So, this is what it might look like.
Let God do the retribution part.
Yeah, he’s probably lucky the courtroom officers were professional and he didn’t get whacked right in front of his family.
If you watched the vid, one of the officers was in his ear, calmly coaching him , to calm down. I sensed a certain amount of deference there. Good on the cop.
Go Dad!
Yes, luckily it was not a twitchy Somali.
These shenanigans were going on quite a while. Three daughters, and I’d wonder why whoever was first didn’t both flee and blow a whistle, saving the others. A broader frustration factor?
I’d also wonder if he and a number of other parents got a shock lesson in what can happen if children become distanced from them. Such children can easily place more trust in others, so much that they may even disregard danger from those others.
Modern self-actualized “machismo” (doesn’t surprise me if he’s a union guy, probably better identifying with the brotherhood of his peers than with God — it’s they, not his church, that did the GoFundMe) is a poor substitute for caring with a God-inspired care. Don’t just be proud of the daughter or son, moms and dads. Pick up the Holy Spirit’s love towards them.
And so God is good for a whole lot more than retribution, in fact He is good for salvation and prevention. Retribution is the nine stitches that a stitch in time would save.
Think of the last verse of the Old Testament. God would send “his prophet Elijah” to turn the hearts of the children to the parents and vice versa, in order to ward off the loveless situation which invites a curse upon the land. Christians knows this as Satan taking an opportunity that God permits.
To Christ for salvation, not to Satan for destruction.
Either that or he will spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement.
Dad who charged at Larry Nassar receiving hundreds of donations
As of early Saturday, more than 700 donors had pledged a total of more than $23,000 to help Randall Margraves, whose daughters were among Nassar's molestation victims.
Co-worker Aaron Pangborn said he set up the GoFundMe page to help Margraves with any potential legal fees resulting from Friday's courtroom incident, which was captured on video.
Pangborn described the mission as to help a brother and friend in need.
As father of 2 girls, the video made me cry that you were stopped before you reached him, supporter Robert Wykoski wrote. I would do the same.
Margraves leaped at Nassar on Friday after listening to two of his daughters deliver victim-impact statements, the New York Post reported.
He requested five minutes alone with the demon, then used an expeltive to describe Nassar. When the judge said no, he asked for one minute. When she declined again, he ran at Nassar, but court officers tackled him almost immediately and arrested him, the Post reported.

Margraves admitted he lost his cool. I came here in support of my daughters Im not here to upstage [them], Margraves said. Im here to help them heal.
He agreed to not attend any future court proceedings involving Nassar.
Pangborn said on the page that he would work with Margraves and his family to ensure that the funds collected will go to a good cause to help victims of sexual abuse.
