Top Democrats warn Trump: Don't fire Rod Rosenstein
The Washington Examiner ^ | Feb 2, 2018 | Kelly Cohen

Top congressional Democrats told President Trump on Friday that using the new House Intelligence Committee memo as a pretext to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and therefore halt the Russia investigation would spark a “constitutional crisis.”

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California said in a letter they are “alarmed” at reports that Trump may use the memo “as a pretext” to fire Rosenstein “in an effort to corruptly influence or impede” special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

“We write to inform you that we would consider such an unwarranted act as an attempt to obstruct justice in the Russia investigation. Firing Rod Rosenstein, DOJ Leadership or Bob Mueller could result in a constitutional crisis of a kind not seen since the Saturday Night Massacre," they said.

Rosenstein is the only Department of Justice official who can remove Mueller, and he was expected to be named in the four-page classified memo made public Friday.

I have to agree with the RATs on this one- Don't fire him, far better to indict him.

Sure you ‘Rat-tards.

Weasel Mueller controls RosenWeasel who controls Sessions.

Cutting the link is a GREAT Idea. Don’t fire him, demote him.

Saturday Night Massacre

These lowlifes are so hung up on Watergate it's sickening. Any one of the Clinton or Obama scandals would make Watergate look like probation.

Rosenstein can't stay in. It's about the rule of law. Fire Rosenstein. Then let the game play out.

Trump appoints a replacement that starts prosecuting swamp critters.

The Democrats start impeaching Trump.

Let's see who wins.

Regardless of party, Congress has no advise and consent role over firings in the Executive Branch. These morons think we’re a Parliamentary system. We’re not. Trump should not only fire Rosenstein but order an immediate investigation and prosecution.

By my way of thinking this Country has been in a Constitutional crisis almost from day one. There have been those who have thwarted and tried to thwart the Constitution as the ink dried.

Slightly off topic, but;

Why can’t the Senate and House wrap up their Rooskie Collusion/Interference studies and issue the d@mn reports?

Don’t they have some budgeting to do?

We’re already in the middle of a constitutional crisis. The Obama/Hillary/DOJ/FBI coup attempt.

The Democrat Thug Party issues a warning...

Obamagate is exponentially more criminal than Watergate, but neither the Democrat Thug Party nor MSM cares.

For all that support Trump, an impact can be made against the MSM by denying the parent corps patronage. Disney and Comcast for starters.

Watergate WAS never anything more than a means to an end. Like with their obsession to get Trump, the Democrats/Media and political establishment spent over 2 decades trying to destroy Nixon in order to exact revenge for his role in exposing Communist infiltration of the government, namely Alger Hiss.

There was nothing Democrats have done in office that wasn’t worse than Watergate on any day of the week. FDR bugged his opponents, you didn’t hear a peep about that being a “threat to the republic.” Absolute nothingburger disguised as an epic crime.

Trump shouldn’t have to fire him. He should do the right thing and resign.
