Judge rules California can’t force Christian baker to make same-sex wedding cakes

“It is an artistic expression by the person making it that is to be used traditionally as a centerpiece in the celebration of a marriage. There could not be a greater form of expressive conduct,” the judge wrote.

Thank God. Despite the ridiculousness of our governor and other reps, Christians make up most of our state’s population. We just don’t have strong , appealing conservative candidates step up to the plate enough.

Freedom of expression is allowing someone to make a same sex “wedding” cake. Slavery is forcing someone to do it.

I cannot fathom how the government forcing someone to bake a cake doesn’t violate the 13th Amendment.

How is that not indentured servitude?

ruling that to do otherwise would be to trample on the baker’s free speech rights.

Why would it be contrary to free speech? That doesn't make any sense. — Now, saying it would violate involuntary servitude does make sense.

Free speech in the sense that he can’t be forced to say what he doesn’t wish to say.

indentured servitude as well as debtor’s prison is alive and well in the United States. It’s called “Child” Support. More acurately termed Matriarchy Support.

“Who in their right mind would eat something forced by the state to cook?”

They don’t care about eating it, they just want you to be forced to make it.

State district court judge. Don't be surprised if it gets appealed.
