A loss here and a loss there soon adds up. It seems every week, we are losing a race here and there. Frustrating. Even more so is that nobody cares and just laughs it off.

Luckily we did win 2 out of 4 elections. All 4 were GOP held, now 1 is DNC, 2 are GOP and 1 is DNC leading.

The RNC is uninspiring.

I really believe our side is underestimating the energy and enthusiasm of the DemoncRAT base and how much Trump hate is really out there.

2018 is going to be very tough. The Rats are going to be voting in huge numbers. A slight drop in Republican voters will lead to massive wave for the RATS.

The GOP won the other 3. In the Jefferson seat it was 108 votes and very, very low turnout.

Headline is a ballsy attempt to put a positive spin on a Rats’ net election loss.

Was the GOP candidate a witch, or a believer in “real rape”?

Just to offer some perspective: The Jefferson County district has traditionally been Democrat-lots of Union there, and I would have been surprised had a Pubbie been elected.

The 144th - Republican Fitzwater was the first pubbie elected in over 60 years. A really staunch Democrat area with lots of Union supporters there too. If Pubbies hold that, it’s a big win.

Not to be complacent. Mid terms are Turn out elections. Everyone needs to GOTV.

Leading narrowly. That could change as the remaining 14% of votes are tallied, especially since the county is Republican held, and that means less chance of Democrat counting hi-jinx.

After tonight, the Missouri House is still quite red, but Dems flipped #HD97 (outlined in gold). Was a 61% Trump seat in the St. Louis metro area. In 2012, Claire McCaskill carried it by 12% in #MOSen. Dems hold 6 Trump seats in the chamber now. #electiontwitter

Waiting on HD144, but so far Dems are outperforming the 2016 Presidential Election in Missouri’s special elections tonight #MOSEN

It doesn't help that some nobody GOP candidate in a local race is a straight up unapologetic Nazi, and getting national press coverage as such. It taints the entire party.

The demoncraps and MSM have their talking point. "The GOP is the party of nazis." How do you fight against that kind of infamy? What's to stop soros from paying other stormfront type pukes to run on the Republican ticket, thus sabotaging the party at large.? (or as much as the RINOs have been sabotaging it from the other left)

For some reason, I can’t post the graphs from this link. I think you’re worrying LOCALLY and not watching NATIONALLY. Take a look at the graphs here and see what you think.

On top of that, President Trump’s approval rating is at 52%, which is HUGE! If he delivers another SOTU-like speech or two between now and fall of 2018, or if any of the ‘play-ahs’ in the Trump wiretapping are arrested, Dems might be demoralized and/or p*ssed off enough to stay home.

I really think that rank and file Republicans don’t realize that EVERY RACE MATTERS. The Dems are slowly chipping away at that ‘1,000 seats flipped’ over the Obama years. I pray that Republicans become ‘crawl though glass’ voters by the time the 2018 elections rolls around.

Wow, that is crappy. Losing 2 seats out of 4 held by the GOP. Does that mean there is some wind behind the Democrat sails?

Careful, pointing out the obvious concerning the serious trouble the GOP is in the midterms could get you banned or suspended as a “concern troll”.

Money quote:

“Based on the unofficial results, Republicans held on to three other seats in four special elections on Tuesday, winning decisively in two western Missouri districts and narrowly in the southeast Missouri 144th District.”

I concede I don’t know much about Missouri politics, but seems like there’s an awful lot of handwringing for 75% success rate. I’d take that extrapolated writ large.

Dims are pumping money into these special elections. See this Politico article: https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/10/democrats-special-elections-organizing-401365 bragging about it:

“The Democrats’ secret weapon to take back statehouses
The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee is pumping money and infrastructure into an array of legislative races. Special election results suggest it’s paying off.
By EDWARD-ISAAC DOVERE 02/10/2018 06:50 AM EST”

From the article:

“...the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.. now working to coordinate efforts and partners... double its spending ... to $35 million...

“’...we’re able to show up to the table with a lot more resources,” said [DLCC head] Jessica Post...’Play big, create big competitive maps, we’ll help you fund the infrastructure, and we’ll come in and invest with our partner groups.’”

“....including Eric Holder at the National Democratic Redistricting Committee. Planned Parenthood ...League of Conservation Voters... Forward Majority super PAC [promised]$100 million into state races... The Democratic National Committee ... with infrastructure and staff... “

Article also quotes RSLC (Republican) as saying they will spend $45mm.

Special elections do and don’t mean a lot, but they offer most opportunity for concentrated campaign spending.
