Am I off base? I dunno......it's a brilliant idea. Not only will it showcase our brave military men and women, and our military strength to the country and to the world, it also could be a message to the Deep State criminals. His call for it also a message to the Democrats that another government shutdown and a lack of a budget hurts the military, while they wail and moan over their precious "Dreamers."

Brilliant, if the 8-10 million which the parade will cost, did not come at the expense of maintenance, upgrades and spare parts; things which the military needs far more than a pretty parade, however much it might boast moral in the moment. Going back to base looking at the planes, vehicles torn apart for spare parts and those for which there are no longer any spares must be very depressing.
If he’s going to do it then I can’t think of a better day for it than Veterans Day 2018. It ties it directly with honoring our country’s veterans and it is also the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.
He could have a semi-trailers with a cages on them and have all the participants from the Obama coup in the parade.
Just as a tactical consideration, a parade would bring thousands of extra troops and acres of prime equipment into DC. The Commander in Chief might have bigger plans than just waving at them from the reviewing stand.
Maybe round up all the alligators in the Swamp? At once?
