Giving the Dems everything they want in domestic spending is wrong. The military should be rebuilt first, but such things as funding Planned Parenthood is WRONG.

Cut all spending by 10% that’s a start. A dime out of every dollar. One out of ten employees.

The Senate was going to rush a vote through this evening then send to the House and President before midnight. The rushed vote required uninamous consent. Paul objected. Now they can’t vote until “tomorrow” which means 1am so th government will be shut down in 12 minutes. That means people will die according to the Dems.

Shut it all down! The duties of the federal government per the constitution is supposed to be limited to national defense and regulating interstate commerce by making sure the states play nice with one another, that is it.

The free-shit army can starve to death for all I care.

The FreeSh*t crowd that I see seem empowered...in addition to seeming entitled 😡

They don’t appear to be one bit concerned that their free stuff will stop.

I often think about asking them if I can go ahead and put some of my groceries on their EBT tab....since I’M PAYING FOR their card balance.

Discretionary spending is shrinking as a percentage of the budget. We are so far in debt that service on the debt is growing rapidly. That leaves Defense, Social Security and Medicaid/Medicare as by far the largest portion of Fed.gov spending. Those will not be touched.

Take an ax to Dept. of Education and a host of other agencies for ideological reasons, but it won't make a huge dent in government spending.

I admire Rand Paul for standing on his principles of fiscal sanity and small government.

I only wish I had as much admiration for my other Senator.

Apparently the pols don’t follow common sense

How to explain ‘continuing resolution’ to a Lib or if you happen to find someone dumber-

Say you go home and your sewer line broke and your basement was filling with sludge.

Question:

Do you call a plumber and clean up the mess after the plumber has made his repairs

OR

Do you jack up the ceiling when the crap reaches the windows?

True....BUT one has to start somewhere.

Remember when the drilling for oil on the North Slope (or pick an area), the argument was...’No need to rush, you will not see any oil for 10 years’

A true statement BUT that was 40 years ago and have yet to see the first drop AND ‘they’ are still saying...but it will be 10 years etc etc etc
