Building that wall, strictly enforcing immigration laws will cost to put in place in the short term but pay off like a slot machine when we don’t have the burden of illegals to pay for from birth. We are going to see future savings in nearly every department- Education, medical, social services, law enforcement, courts, jails...

It has been as if each of our families had to support another family- then they move out...

It’s pretty obvious Trump wants the wall as much as anyone on FR. Dealing in reality he’ll have to find some other way to build it because he’s one of the only people in Washington who wants and is fighting for the wall. He can’t just go ahead and build it because the Repukes provide him no cover and would love to impeach him as much as the Dems. Obama did a tone of things that were, by todays standard, impeachable bit had loads of cover.

Trump need not even think about reelection2020. This nation will be in full economic collapse by then with the amount of debt we keep accumulating.

This nations fiscal policy is pathetic.

If it’s a “two year spending deal” - how come funding runs out again in March?

The legislation also funds Planned Parenthood by some $500 million. Not a victory at all

No, there is never going to be a wall; so we need to kill DACA. I am unsure that we can.

What is it with all these autistic freepers? You're lucky Congress didn't stick in DACA then override Trump's veto with a Republican and Dem super-super majority. It's like you people have no idea what kind of Congress you have, so you think that Trump, like some God from on high, can just put his foot down and magic will happen.

A presidential veto sends a strong message and puts the people of this nation on notice, are you with the President on this or Congress? It isn’t God powers they are granted to the president so why not use it?

We have a limited time to take action. One thing I’ll give to the Democrats and Obama, they are united and if you stepped out of line Obama made damn sure you paid. The democrats knew how to use their power to drive their agenda.

Our party, the dummy party is useless

Wall is part of the upcoming DACA deal. No wall? No DACA. Nice and simple. Oh yeah, no chain, and no lottery either. Still pretty simple.

I’m done. Consider me ready to be carved up on the Thanksgiving table. Such high hopes. Even Obama couldn’t get a bill like this passed. There is no opposition party any longer. I’m 70 years old. As of today, I no longer give a damn.

I’m not done yet, but greatly disheartened. The republicans want to cut taxes and spend. At least the Democrats will raise taxes and spend. As a fiscal conservative you have to decide which side is going to create less debt, well it’s starting to look like the Democrats would. But wait! Obama took a page from Bush jrs handbook and increased spending and cut taxes too! So now there is no difference between the parties fiscally.

I consider myself a fiscal conservative, but I’m realizing most people who claim to be fiscal conservatives only want to pay less taxes. What I want is the budget balanced and the debt reduced. If it is done by cutting spending or raising revenue (taxes, tariffs, etc.) or a combination of the two I don’t care, just make it happen.
