Also, tell the kids, grandkids and great grand kids that while saddled with debt and on the verge of default that at least politics is art of the possible. Delusional? Nah I call that realist.

Before the grandkids have to pay, inflation will wipe it out or reduce by half or more.

The administration hopes to build 60 miles of new steel bollard fencing along the border with 2018 funding and an additional 64 miles with 2019 funding.
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-budget-wall/trump-budget-to-include-3-billion-for-border-wall-official-idUSKBN1FT09M

So President Trump is requesting 7% of the complete wall in this two year budget deal. A complete wall of the entire border would be 1,827 miles long.

The reality is he loses House and Senate in 2018 with a Veto. I HATE it but that is a fact. We need to hold House and Senate or Trump will be made a Dead Man Walking. I have hopes for 1 or 2 more SC Justices.

That's probably about right ... despite what the cheerleaders say. I knew when he was elected he wasn't going to do all these things he talked about. No reflection on Trump but he just doesn't have the political power. He is politically isolated. He barely got the tax bill but the votes came through it was a big win. Trump lost on ObamaCare and now this. Well he can still issue EOs and nominate judges. Maybe we'll get another legislative win. We'll see.

And we hear over and over the promised to make Mexico pay for it. that is going to be up there with ‘read my lips, no new taxes’ in terms of something hung around a leader’s neck.

The sad part is there’s WORSE out there.

I think we’re at 100 percent of GDP.

Isn’t Japan at 200 percent?

Isn’t China pretty high? I think 300 percent?

And they are supposed to be growing at a phenomenal rate all these years.

Could be wrong about China. Pretty sure about Japan.

But we’ll catch up :(

no change on the sinking titanic. just the shuffling of the deck chairs.

Everybody needs to get a grip. Remember what Reagan said about deficits? Here’s a quick review:

What I want is the budget balanced and the debt reduced.

What I want is the debt repudiated, because it can never be paid. Attempts to pay down the debt would make the 2020s look worse than the 1930s and lead to a Hugo Chavez or Bernie Sanders style dictatorship.

Yes, it will cause all the banks to fail. Puerto Rico will repudiate. Venezuela will repudiate. Europe and Japan will repudiate. China will repudiate. For each country, the only question is when. Some time between now and 2037, we will have a mess. A mess is better than $100 trillion Federal Reserve Notes to buy a loaf of bread in the morning, and $500 trillion in the afternoon.

And we go deeper in debt which will never be paid off. I feel sorry for my grand children, 15 decades from now.

That’s crazy. In the Middle East everyone hates us except for Israel. Why should any of these America hating countries get one dime from us?
