These tweets are complete and utter hogwash! He had a choice don’t sign, shut down the government and instill fiscal discipline or sign, continuing to sign away future generations wealth all in the name of the Red White and Blue.

He chose the latter. Our President is a fiscal liberal. Is he this something folks can come to grip with.

He chose one of two prudent paths. One path was to get some of the things he wanted and bide time until the GOPE can be conquered and the Dems are arrested. The other was to veto and be overridden with what such a majority would have wanted, without his say.

I would have chosen to veto, but the situation with his own party and the stupid Russian investigation really has tied him up a lot. He wants to get SC justices through and he either needs his party or the Democrats to get them through. Tell us which terrible side you would want to get your picks into power.

I understand your point, but I don’t think this was the “Hill” to die on. I know it sounds awful, but we’ve had these defecits for years and will continue for now. We need to ensure Military is well funded, next is immigration (DACA, the Wall, end chain migration, end diversity lottery etc) and that’s going to be a fight. Perfectly fine with shutting down and going to the mat on that now. Next drain the swamp, Continue to expose the politicization of the fed agencies, including Intel and LE, take that down and THEN draw a line in the sand on budget and spending. Oh, in the meantime keep putting conservatives on the fed courts.

From what I’ve seen Trump likes a deal. Doesn’t seem to matter what the deal is though. He’ll sign it. He has made a few requirements but as long as those are in it he’ll sign anything. Because it’s a deal.

What is it with all these autistic freepers? You're lucky Congress didn't stick in DACA then override Trump's veto with a Republican and Dem super-super majority. It's like you people have no idea what kind of Congress you have, so you think that Trump, like some God from on high, can just put his foot down and magic will happen.
