I think Trump took as good a deal as he was going to get, and is moving on. Winning races in 2018 would help put some spine in the Nervous Nellies of the GOP. Trump had zero chance of winning a big fight to cut spending. Part of good negotiating is not insisting on playing a losing hand to the bitter end...
i agree. the goal is to get some people elected where he doesnt have to fight a dozen or so people in his own party holding the wall hostage.
problem is they lie to get elected then turn “enlightened”
